I think there is still scope to go round in circles

Great post Chaser. He had a top 5 finish in the bummers B&F one year - I'm sure it's no coincidence that this was in the time Goodwin was an assistant. I do recall him being one of their (if not THE) whipping boy. Perhaps that didn't do wonders for his confidence. Their loss!
  3. When does he 100 games for the Dees? I'd like to se him clock that up. I'm with Gorgoroth. If he's playing well and is happy to be a depth player, all good. It would depend on draft considerations etc

From The AFL website: McGovern has put talks on hold, probably until season's end, while Gaff is reportedly being targeted by five Melbourne clubs.
  5. Dear Poita, When MacDonald is in the ruck, there's a good chance Gawn will be resting in the forward line. Win-win

We are starting to move the footy fast enough and well enough for Jeffy to really capitalise and turn his opponent inside out. I love Spargo but happy for him to have a rest. It's Jeffy time! Viney - no brainer
  7. I'm mixing up my Hoares, so to speak. Did we lose the goal sneak or the ruck in losing Erin?
  8. 6. Oliver 5. Brayshaw ? 4. Gawn 3 Jones 2 Hogan 1. Hibberd
  9. If he was delisted by the saints I hope he's a vindictive [censored].

I think his disposal has improved this year to some extent. I haven't been a fan, but I would prefer him in the guts over Harmes. What on earth is he doing on on a wing?
  11. Agree and not surprised. He's missed a lot of footy
  12. Labradors might find that offensive. Red setter for mine.

Happily agree with this part of your argument Chief. He gets to the contest very well but from then on it's a raffle of whether he spoils the efforts of team mates or his handball drops straight to the deck. Good tackler without being very effective. A bit of confidence from the win might improve his dreadful disposal. In the last quarter he dished off a nice handball but that's about all I can recall.
  14. 6 - Gawn 5 - Jones 4 - Melksham 3 - Salem 2 - Hannan 1 - Brayshaw Stiff - Jetta, Fritsch, Hibberd
  15. Sounds all plausible. It could also be just a case of McCartney being more suited to arresting the possibility of players throwing in the towel again at ground level. Appreciate your feedback and anything further that may arise. Cheers
  16. Would be interested in the views of @Leoncelli_36 on this matter
  17. I'm hoping it's because he's back in full training. Can anyone confirm?
  18. Or accused of splitting red hairs
  19. I think Ginger Rogers (aka Tina Louise) with that mop:
  20. Just butting in here - I would, but only because of the forward option. If he was a pure ruck, I'd pass (also on Coleman-Jones). I could see us taking a Ballard or Brander if either happened to slide (unlikely) but no other KPPs. The rest will be players who are either mids or capable of running through the middle. If they don't love a contest, they wont get picked, no matter how much run they might provide. I think they'll look for a small forward (which i include in the capable of running through the middle brigade). I doubt we'd pick up more than one player under 180cms. I could see us getting Spargo if medically cleared and I'm definitely expecting at least one from the clouds. Some of the players predicted to go in the 30's around our picks I don't think we'd take - eg Houlahan. Also wanting to put it on record how wrong I expect to be, as Taylor has so far surprised with each draft and isn't afraid of high risk, high reward picks. I'll take a stab at the four picks shortly just to prove it.
  21. Wasn't sure where to put this, but here's Brett Anderson's SEN Mock Draft: https://www.sen.com.au/news/2017/11/20/brett-andersons-2017-afl-mock-draft/ Interesting he has us taking Oscar Baker. I'm expecting some left field picks from Taylor as has been the case in the past.
  22. Port still have 5 or 6 picks after pick 45 for this year's draft. It makes some sort of sense that they've picked up all these FAs and DFAs rather than take more picks in the hundreds. What doesn't make sense is how they found themselves in this situation in the first place. And gee, another year for the Toump
  23. It looks like we've spoken to him so I would be interested to hear from track watchers @ChaserJ or anyone? Is he a possibility to add to our midfield depth at 47? There's a bit of speculation on BF that St Kilda want both Andrew and Hamish.
