  1. Sounds all plausible. It could also be just a case of McCartney being more suited to arresting the possibility of players throwing in the towel again at ground level. Appreciate your feedback and anything further that may arise. Cheers
  2. Would be interested in the views of @Leoncelli_36 on this matter
  3. I'm hoping it's because he's back in full training. Can anyone confirm?
  4. I think Ginger Rogers (aka Tina Louise) with that mop:
  5. Just butting in here - I would, but only because of the forward option. If he was a pure ruck, I'd pass (also on Coleman-Jones). I could see us taking a Ballard or Brander if either happened to slide (unlikely) but no other KPPs. The rest will be players who are either mids or capable of running through the middle. If they don't love a contest, they wont get picked, no matter how much run they might provide. I think they'll look for a small forward (which i include in the capable of running through the middle brigade). I doubt we'd pick up more than one player under 180cms. I could see us getting Spargo if medically cleared and I'm definitely expecting at least one from the clouds. Some of the players predicted to go in the 30's around our picks I don't think we'd take - eg Houlahan. Also wanting to put it on record how wrong I expect to be, as Taylor has so far surprised with each draft and isn't afraid of high risk, high reward picks. I'll take a stab at the four picks shortly just to prove it.
  6. Wasn't sure where to put this, but here's Brett Anderson's SEN Mock Draft: https://www.sen.com.au/news/2017/11/20/brett-andersons-2017-afl-mock-draft/ Interesting he has us taking Oscar Baker. I'm expecting some left field picks from Taylor as has been the case in the past.
  7. Port still have 5 or 6 picks after pick 45 for this year's draft. It makes some sort of sense that they've picked up all these FAs and DFAs rather than take more picks in the hundreds. What doesn't make sense is how they found themselves in this situation in the first place. And gee, another year for the Toump
  8. It looks like we've spoken to him so I would be interested to hear from track watchers @ChaserJ or anyone? Is he a possibility to add to our midfield depth at 47? There's a bit of speculation on BF that St Kilda want both Andrew and Hamish.
  9. Love the bloke and hope like anything he gets a good run at it. He deserves every success. Don't care who he plays for, I'll cheer him on regardless (maybe not against us). Go you good thing JT
  10. Howe also struggled to take a chest mark without face planting - odd combo
  11. I'm thinking Tex Walker probably was too
  12. Same old story - posturing. Adelaide demand 2 first picks and declare they want to deal with Pies (or whoever). Lever's manager insists Melbourne. Deal gets done for first and second picks early if Adelaide need the picks for another trade, or they act like tossers (Essendon style) and hold out to the last minute of trade week, or AFL 'mediators' step in and tell them the deal's fair and grow TF up. PS. Don't usually pay much notice of what Lloydy says but he said this morning that 10 and 27 seemed fair.
  13. I'm going to insert that into the RM dictionary (Volume 3) of useful and amusing words. Thanks Nasher
  14. Nudge/Chilli Boy was a ripper and clearly went for quantity over quality. I was always saddened when he would disappear after about 5 minutes of posting gems when someone annoying would call him out and he'd vanish in a huff.
  15. Quite possibly, but I'm happy to run with it until he/she gets blown out of the water and in the absence of Nudge / CB. Not much else on offer eh
  16. That'll be the case with Kelly. Everybody wrongly assumes he goes to North because of the monstrous, offer only to be pipped at the post by the Dees, with Kelly deciding, he wants to play with his mates at MFC (for less). Dreaming? Absolutely
  17. Agreed - Kelly! But, on a slightly more realistic note - yes Whitfield would make a huge difference and might be more gettable
  18. Frost to Dogs for a 2nd rounder. Melb's first and (either our or the Dog's) 2nd rounder to Adelaide for Lever
  19. Norf (just like Juddy was a die hard Dee)
  20. I would still take Kelly ahead of Lever any day of the week. In an a slightly less perfect world, I'm sure Kelly would re-sign with GWS or bathe in cash at another club and we would nab Lever.
  21. In a perfect world, Kelly any day of the week.
  22. No there isn't. If Tyson were to be traded, it would be to a Victorian club.
  23. Jones looked like more of a 2nd round pick tonight - 30s. Maybe just a form drop in the last week or so.
