Jack Trengove signed by Port Adelaide as a Delisted Free Agent
Love the bloke and hope like anything he gets a good run at it. He deserves every success. Don't care who he plays for, I'll cheer him on regardless (maybe not against us). Go you good thing JT

Liam Ryan
Howe also struggled to take a chest mark without face planting - odd combo

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HARLEY BALIC
Freo might've been more insistent on pick 47 if it was a 2 year contract too. A win all round.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
I'm thinking Tex Walker probably was too

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Same old story - posturing. Adelaide demand 2 first picks and declare they want to deal with Pies (or whoever). Lever's manager insists Melbourne. Deal gets done for first and second picks early if Adelaide need the picks for another trade, or they act like tossers (Essendon style) and hold out to the last minute of trade week, or AFL 'mediators' step in and tell them the deal's fair and grow TF up. PS. Don't usually pay much notice of what Lloydy says but he said this morning that 10 and 27 seemed fair.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
I'm going to insert that into the RM dictionary (Volume 3) of useful and amusing words. Thanks Nasher

Hope it's not Motslop

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Nudge/Chilli Boy was a ripper and clearly went for quantity over quality. I was always saddened when he would disappear after about 5 minutes of posting gems when someone annoying would call him out and he'd vanish in a huff.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Quite possibly, but I'm happy to run with it until he/she gets blown out of the water and in the absence of Nudge / CB. Not much else on offer eh

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
That'll be the case with Kelly. Everybody wrongly assumes he goes to North because of the monstrous, offer only to be pipped at the post by the Dees, with Kelly deciding, he wants to play with his mates at MFC (for less). Dreaming? Absolutely

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Agreed - Kelly! But, on a slightly more realistic note - yes Whitfield would make a huge difference and might be more gettable

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Frost to Dogs for a 2nd rounder. Melb's first and (either our or the Dog's) 2nd rounder to Adelaide for Lever

Norf (just like Juddy was a die hard Dee)

I would still take Kelly ahead of Lever any day of the week. In an a slightly less perfect world, I'm sure Kelly would re-sign with GWS or bathe in cash at another club and we would nab Lever.

Josh Kelly
In a perfect world, Kelly any day of the week.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
No there isn't. If Tyson were to be traded, it would be to a Victorian club.

Zak Jones
Jones looked like more of a 2nd round pick tonight - 30s. Maybe just a form drop in the last week or so.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
He'd need a decent attitude adjustment. He didn't do any of his preseason programs in his time at the club. Made Oliver look like Captain Commitment

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
I have no idea what he's thinking. I'll put it more simply... the kid couldn't buy a goal. When he finally kicked one, he played a lot better....in my opinion.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Watching the Weed last weekend and the games he's played in the Ones, he looked to me to be suffering from 'Cant-kick-a-goal-itis.' He looked low (not devoid) on confidence and largely ineffectual. He was mostly in the right spots and laying tackles - trying to get all the little things right, but not hitting the scoreboard (other than points). IIRC, he hasn't kicked a goal for awhile and, for some, the longer it goes on for, the more confidence you lose. Last weekend it looked to be more of the same and I thought, we'll see a completely different player if he could just kick a goal. He finally did and I thought he played really well after kicking the goal. In fact, he kicked another and looked to have a much stronger impact on the game. My interpretation only.

Zak Jones
I reckon Zak will work as hard as Nathan to improve his game and will end up being a good player, probably more role player than anything else. I don't think he's a first rounder though, at this point in his career.

Delistings
Interesting if around the mark. I thought they'd keep one of Michie or Newton for midfield depth. It's probably easier to retain Viv than delist Newton and go through the rookie draft. Viv is also a bit more versatile. Samael will be happy. I suspect Dawes will be up in the air until Trade Week unfolds. Best news will be the upgrading of Smith if it happens
