POSTGAME: Rd 03 vs Essendon
[censored] this team is hard work.

Next Melbourne (Vice) Captain
This^ I'd add the new rules with runners has added to our woes. We don't have the on field leaders to make up for the loss of communications/marshalling/instructions from the runners (until Lewis is back anyway).

Oskar Baker
Had one of the longest layoffs for a hamstring injury I've ever heard of (without surgery). He wasn't that long ago that he joined the main group in full training. I hope he's not rushed in to the seniors underdone. The knock on him is disposal and decision making so I'd like him to tear it apart at Casey first.

GAMEDAY: Rd 02 vs Geelong
Hopefully it's like Sydney v Adelaide last night. Adelaide, the away team, were given a dream run by the umpires. Not sure why but I'd take it tonight.

PREGAME: Rd 02 vs Geelong
Clatworthy's (Sawyers Arms) or Gold Diggers. If you're going early for a frothie, your odds of finding a carpark improve. I do like that about Geelong - still able to get a park without a grey ghost sniffing after you. I'll be there - parking in a mate's driveway a few minutes from the ground ? Go Dees!

Jack Viney and the medical staff...

Changes vs Geelong Rd 2
I can't see Viney turning it around one week. Needs to play at Casey to regain fitness rather than sit on the bench at Geelong. Stretch in to replace him for a week, unless they decide to run with KK. Out: Frost, Viney In: May, Stretch (KK) In two weeks bring in Viney and KK

DEMONLAND PLAYER OF THE YEAR - Round 1
Me. My argument is that other players were better (as few of them as there were). I acknowledge he's fit - probably fitter than all of them, but I don't think you should get votes for being fit. Being fit enabled him to apply pressure, unlike most in the team. The rest of his game was ordinary - including his attempted ball gathers which bounced off him, his points and his poor decisions, disposal and fumbles. Spargo applied pressure too. Fight over. Roger wins.

Casey v Box Hill - Practice Game on Sunday
I read that above that Bedford played half back? Is that true or did he just have a stint there? Who kicked goals for Casey? Cheers

POSTGAME: Rd 1 vs Port Adelaide
I thought the ball gathering skills were particularly cringeworthy. He'd be running to gather the ball and it would bounce off him.

Round 1 Team
Oh FFS is this one of your feelings a la Petracca - that fat bloke who has to be dragged kicking and screaming out of a giant bowl of Mumma's pasta to play footy. Stretch leaves no stone unturned to play AFL footy. You wont find a harder trainer or anyone more meticulous in their preparation. It's more a question of whether he has enough AFL attributes. I'll regret posting this I'm sure given your likely responses and endless posting, so feel free to just leave it as I will.

PREGAME: Rd 01 vs Port Adelaide
Fair point and enough to make anyone shudder, if not get full blown hives.

PREGAME: Rd 01 vs Port Adelaide
I'm surprised you'd contemplate them lining up like that.

PREGAME: Rd 01 vs Port Adelaide
The three tall emergencies is odd / interesting - Preuss, Petty, Kielty....then Sparrow. I thought Stretch might get a look in as an emergency.

Big Improvers/Standout New Players
I'd love it if Stretch took it up a level or two. That game last year before he injured his toe showed us something.. Stretch is one of those players who needs time to find his feet at AFL level. Unfortunately these days you have to be able to walk into your role and the team very quickly and adapt. If he gets that time he could make a good winger. I think he's one of two genuine wings on the list - the other being Fritsch. I don't think Hunt is and I have my doubts about KK on a wing.

Demonland Banner 2019
Nev in the middle is my guess (next to Harmes) although he seems to have Frost's ears stuck on. A serious bouffant on the dude next to Gawn.

Lever Rehab in the US
It just shows how long I've been lurking on this site. I'm sure all of the Vis characters would have be banned here years ago. Another couple of faves: Two Fat Slags, Finbar Saunders and Milly Tant. Roger's Profanasaurus is not to be missed too.

PREGAME: JLT 02 vs Brisbane
I'd like to add: Angus Brayshaw to hit a target by (either) foot ANB without the fumbles Kielty with a little more game time. Viney unscathed in particular.

Lever Rehab in the US
A bit of a guess, but having done some recent knee rehab, I'd say the snow provides a slightly less stable but soft surface to get the muscles around his knee more active in supporting his knee.

Riewoldt rates Hogan as better forward than TMac
Agree on Brown. His goal tally is also obscenely inflated by the number of dodgy free kicks he is awarded in front of goal.
