  1. Questions: Can he give us a rundown on who the demons might have coming up as potential academy picks (or whatever they're called)? There are clubs that seem to be dripping with options and others (like us who have very few). Can he clarify our (NT) zone in this regard and has any of it been lost to GCS. I believe we have the Alice Springs area but is that the extent of it? Can he also talk about father-sons coming up in the next few years? Is Jeff White's son automatically tied to GCS with these new gift rules or can he still come to us (assuming he makes the AFL grade)? What is the departmental structure now that T Viney is behind a tractor? Who's the list manager etc? Cheers
  2. Great - only 147.5 minutes of filler!
  3. I think they'll struggle on all three. I also think live coverage of the draft appeal is pretty limited to footy tragics and there's nothing wrong with that. The AFL should give up on its lame attempts to broaden the appeal with bells and whistles. I'll be on the edge of my seat at the kick-off, when Gil runs through the riveting draft rules.
  4. FMD They're going to drag out the first round for 2 1/2 hours? That's scaling new heights in dull for the AFL. Lucky we have two picks to break up all that excitement.
  5. Attention Mods: A bunch of old farts have stolen the training thread! Bring it back
  6. Guess: Jackson Pickett Sharp or a random Want: Jackson or Green Stephens Taylor
  7. One of the better Phantom Drafts has been released on BF and it extends to rookie draft too! Snoop Dogs Mock National & Rookie Draft - a good read/assessment.
  8. He cant train with the club until Dec 3rd. I've no doubt someone from the club will be with him or close by, he just wont be at the club. With some luck and form, you could change your name to hells bennells next year!
  9. Click the article on the picture and you won't get the paywall.
  10. Definitely prefer Maher to Dwayne and that's saying something.
  11. You could be are right. From MFC Website Harry Petty (groin) pulled up sore from last week’s game I haven't noticed anything (injury wise) for this year but I thought he missed the last two games with a knee injury. Others may be able to clarify.
  12. He had a knee injury IIRC
  13. I think it would be more like one fiftieth of the information the recruiters have.
  14. Well clearly youth which would involve pick >100 in the ND
  15. An old article about upcoming father son prospects. Noah Yze is mentioned amongst others: https://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/2018-05-09/melbournes-future-fatherson-prospects And, more recently, father son/daughter prospects: https://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/2019-04-17/melbourne-hosts-father-son-and-daughter-day
  16. Me too. But, without a shred of evidence, I think Jackson is the smokescreen. I read elsewhere that this draft, unlike others, will be briefly best available before switching to largely needs based. It makes a bit of sense given the evenness of the draftees beyond the first few/handful.
  17. Lol. Imagine if he turned up to his MFC meeting in that rig.
  18. Bedford As mentioned by Goodoil below - it could be Lockhart!
  19. Anybody know who the longer haired one was? Cheers
  20. I watched a couple of his games and saw some really promising signs: - he can kick the footy - he's quite clean with the footy below his knees for a giraffe If you can overlook the rag-dolling he got in the ruck which is to be expected from a stick insect, we might have a player with a few more years of weight/strength gain and development. It's hard to judge his ruck capability at this stage. It did improve in his first (VFL) game when instructed to jump over his opponent rather than be easily brushed aside.
  21. And Josh Kelly (GWS) is not. Lol
  22. No it was not. He (Howe) said on radio that MFC offered more than the pies.
  23. Reminds me of Stephen Morris from Richmond before he was delisted - hard working, mouthy, in your face, pain in the [censored] with not much else to offer..
  24. This is a thread about drafting Brodie Kemp. Can I direct you to the delist section with that line-up. Cheers
