  1. Was looking at the AFL app yesterday, before we played them in the finals last year. Rd 15 MCG : Dees 16.21 117 to Lions 7.11 53 Rd 23 Gabba : Dees 18.7 115 to Lions 8.9 57 Getting the ball inside 50 has never been an issue, first game together for BBB and JVR, time to light the scoreboard up.
  2. This has a Kings birthday feel about it to me. We’re fully aware of what’s on the line and just when most of us (including myself) we’re wondering what the hell is Goody up to he’s gone whack. Petty back to defence. Two key fwds. Our kicking accuracy returned last week. We need to play line we did against the Swans and Collingwood.
  3. How do you rate the finals he’s played in? 4th highest goal kicker and the one that really surprised me was 3rd highest contested mark in the game, he’s not somebody I think off when discussing contested marks. But for all of that he’s effectively the Brisbane Lions, dominates all year but goes missing when it counts. I was a fan of him in his younger years but his last few years at Sydney with regards to his carry on, always appealing for a free when he doesn’t mark it and then his decision to play on this season really confirmed to me what I had been thinking. When discussing him after he retires everyone should be discussing his goals but also his performances in the big games.
  4. Because I’m sick of hearing about them and that they’re a mathematical chance….
  5. No, look at the rest of their games.
  6. Can’t handle Franklin or Papley.
  7. JUH is a star in the making, the kid can play.
  8. Really hope the Swans lose.
  9. This reminded me of a meme that was getting around in 2020 (from memory). There was a picture of a spaceship, it said…. We have received a message sir from the planet called earth. What does it say? It says Melbourne are rebuilding.
  10. Pies earlier in the season wanted to swap one game at the G for Marvel and Marvel to the G but we’re also denied.
  11. This from the club that had to off load an overpaid player and pick 7 last season.
  12. Yes they’re a good side but I still think they’re very beatable. There’s only 5 sides that can win it if you count the Cats, and Port and Collingwood play a style that troubles them. Back on topic Port like Collingwood have beaten up on the weaker sides, they beat the Cats and Suns by about 40 but then also like Collingwood have had a lot of wins by 10 points or less. Swans by 2 Dogs by 14 (gather rd and dogs for once on the end of some garbage umpiring) Saints by 7 Bombers by 5 Dees by 4 Tigers by 10 Bombers by 4 And yes winning form is good form and all but come finals and hopefully by then Oliver is firing at full capacity and Fritsch is back for his second game. I’m confident with our experience we can take them. During the year it was wet and we were smashed at the stoppages, yet in the 3rd we led by 17 at one stage. If we don’t let that happen again we’re a massive chance. Would rather them week 1 than 3.
  13. I’d rather Port myself.
  14. The marketing department is pumping up that the season is alive for so many teams but realistically we know that’s not the case. As much as a lot of people want the Suns to fold it will never happen IMO. Best case scenario is for North to fold and Tassie becomes the 18th team.
  15. Appreciate all the reports, being interstate I rely on these and look fwd to reading them.
  16. Hawks beat the Saints and Hawks. After tonight will be 3.5 games behind Carlton, I think they’re a massive chance come rd 23 as a win won’t affect their draft pick.
  17. Looking at how this season is playing out there is no way this competition can sustain further expansion. For the good of the game if Tassie is to get a side an existing team must fold.
  18. Did ANB have a pre workout drink before running out?
  19. Win the clearance. Low and direct kick. Open fwd line. A tall leads and mark. About bloody time.
  20. If Pies lose tonight they’ve lost to 3rd, 4th and 5th on the ladder. Speaks volumes. Put that in your pipe and smoke it Mason.
  21. I was happy when we returned to two tall defenders plus Lever and I also would rather Petty than Tomlinson but Petty wasn’t ready to play against Geelong, could of easily been brought in the week after. Yes to separation of our fwds.
