Carlton are a mess, they’re not playing as a team, they have no depth. If the Suns were to lose it would be a massive backwards step on the progress they’ve made this season. Harry McKay is a major worry, watching him last week, when he takes a mark 20-30 metres out with little angle he’s seriously at a loss on what to do. I feel as though when he does kick a goal it’s more by fluke than actual skill. He’s almost Travis Cloke all over again.

Who do you have Port losing to? They have Pies and Crows at home and funnily enough play Geelong again in a few weeks.
-
Our chance to finish top 2 was taken when we lost to them by 4 points. That was every bit an 8 point game. So most likely we’ll finish 3rd and play them week 1, a game I think we can win.

Surely / hopefully the pre game learnings out way the post game. We know how Collingwood intend to play, what have we learnt? No excuses today, none. If not today, when? -
They don’t care. Do we honestly see anything changing with Gil going?

Had to google it as I couldn’t remember. Peter Wright for a future 4th round pick.

PREGAME: Rd 13 vs Collingwood
Bombay Airconditioning replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Their style of play is not a perfect science and they are prone to turning the ball over themselves. Less experienced defensive units often panic under the pressure of relentless entries. With such fast ball movement created on the back of turnovers sometimes there’s not set play. I think we can hold our own defensively against them, just hope we don’t get bogged down in our own transition and our accuracy returns to what it was in the opening rounds. -
Carn the hawks. Please keep taking the game on.

PREGAME: Rd 13 vs Collingwood

I’m working off the theory I flew down for rounds 3 and 6 and we won. Flying down tomorrow morning can’t wait. Another theory is play to our potential, start winning at the stoppages, move the footy direct with low bullet like passes. run in numbers, kick to an open fwd line with players making space for each other and kick straight when having set shots on goal. Our defence gets back to its 2021 early 2022 days when we were hard to score against and our pressure is through the roof. -
What I’m getting at is there’s still a long way to go.

This might sound crazy / arrogant but if Port is so good with the number 1 midfield and the Bulldogs are making up the numbers why didn’t Port pump them? If Weightman’s goal was allowed in the 4th qtr I think Port still win but by under 2 goals. Wins are win and hats off to them but there’s a Collingwood like feel about them, continue to win by 2 goals or less. How long can this last? When we played them we were totally outplayed, no denying it. We play one good qtr and only lose by 4.

Going to be very hard to finish top 2 now, even with our relatively easy run home.

Apologies if already posted. My Magpies friend reckons Cox has Covid and Daicos and Maynard have the flu.
