Dees win $1million McClelland Trophy
1 million in prize money for the McClelland trophy compared to the profits of merchandise sales after winning the premiership, more members and potentially more sponsors. Obviously weāll take it but for me it doesnāt take away from the disappointment of this years final series. This year was a massive fail from the menās team, even with our injuries we should have beaten the Pies easily in week 1.

The Pick 1 Thread
No I wouldnāt. Petty is a premiership defender who also can be a target up fwd. I know nothing about this years draft crop except for what Iāve seen on YouTube and read on line. When I asked earlier about Reidās kicking I was told itās good but not elite. You can can argue the whole Petracca / Danger arenāt elite kicks either theyāve both proven themselves already. Add to that May has maybe 2-3 years left and Petty is only 23.

Trade Rumours 2023
I donāt get when people say pick 5 becomes 6 & pick 11 becomes pick 12 who will be available? To me pick 5 is still pick 5 because we donāt have access to other teams academy selections or father sons, so we should know who will / should be available come our selections. Pick 5 of available playersā¦.

Trade Rumours 2023
If I had to swallow it, Iād go with what @Gawndy the Great suggested which was effectively using him as a link player, keeping Petty and JVR deep. But then how much do you pay for a link player and with Fritsch also fwd I think that throws out our balance. We also need pace and classy ball users.

2023 GRAND FINAL
Even with the injuries to Petty and Melksham we were better team in both our finals yet found a way to lose. This year was a massive fail, no excuses at all. Thatās why Iām still gutted and couldnāt watch yesterday.

2023 GRAND FINAL
What were everyoneās thoughts of the umpiring? I watched the first 3 minutes and after the Daicos and Hipwood freeās I went and cleaned my garage. Then come back for the last 5 minutes before turning it off with 20 seconds to go. The advantage taken when clearly there was no advantage was massive. Iām not one for the total frees paid but more so when and where.

2023 GRAND FINAL
Biggest game of the year and the umpires are already awarding garbage frees.

2023 GRAND FINAL
Never been more uninterested in a GF before. The thought of either Cox and Maynard or Daniher and Hipwood being premiership players just doesnāt sit well with me, sadly itās only a matter of time. This year weāve been constantly reminded that Nick Daicos is the best player in the game and Harris Andrews is the games best defender. A Brownlow medal count where 14 average touches gets you 3 votes and 42 touches and 2 goals gets you none. The umpiring / goal review system at an all time low. The tribunal system clearly broken. Two of my best mates, both Collingwood supporters (one at the game today) telling me telling me this week that we (the Dees) were the better team in both our finals and should of win them both does little to comfort me. Throughout the year I have as many on here have invested so much time & money into watching our club, betting, SC and being on here only to be left so disappointed not only by our club but the game as a whole. Having said all of that, [censored] you Maynard, Carn the Lions.

GAMEDAY: SF vs Carlton
Still flat from last Thursday, easily the least emotional Iāve been at any game. Considering what was at stake and the build up during the week, then to lose the way we didā¦. Weāve heard about loading, lessons learnt and how weāre timing our run beautifully. Itās all just words, there was a time not that long ago we were [censored] and losing was expected. We now have arguably one of the best lists in the comp and are currently in our window. I still believe we can win the flag without Petty, Melk and possibly Gus, but it will be tough. Would be one of the greater flags of recent times if we could. Just for something different why donāt we come out all guns blazing in the 1st and see what happens. Open up fwd 50, Trac and Fritsch both out of the goal square leading in different directions (kick it in low and direct) with Kosi and Chandler starting 35 metres out from the square sprinting in. Letās back out fwds in to win their 1 on 1ās. Start dominating the stoppages like we used to and give our defenders time to set up behind the ball. Wild Turkey barrel proof will be my friend tonight. Carn the Dees.
