  1. THAT, right there is as good a feeling as when the final siren went. Superior to Collingwood. A reason to get out of bed every morning.
  2. And there is the first club to start mimicking everything we do. Weird feeling this.
  3. I didn't. I expected to be a sobbing mess, but couldn't have squeezed out a tear if I wanted to. I remember sitting there during the presentation thinking, "this does not feel the way I thought it would" May have something to do with what I thought was a horrendous commentary team. Just awful. Ive been a bit lemony watching the young fella in the Demon Diaries. He is a real fan with heart on sleeve. And the hair stood up when listening to Dennis Cometti and the boys. Their call was magnificent.

I must be the only one who thought the call of "bang, bang, bang" was garbage. The entire broadcast failed to match the excitement of the game itself. I thought they were a terrible combination. BT is horrific.
  5. Id say 1 billion, although there are only 26 million people here. So 2 billion..... Its certainly going to be interesting to watch the membership updates. edit: I guess I should answer the question. I'll go just under 70k. 69500.
  6. Was going to say that I'm satisfied with this one but nah, you dropkicks down there probably deserve to see the team win one live...
  7. If he went back to Adelaide I woukd feel the same as when Scott Thompson left. Yep, i think he can be that good.
  8. Ouch. Hope they got their fill grand final night.
  9. Doesn't matter if i laugh or cry. They took a chance and got dobbed in. What happens from here is because of their choices, nobody else's.
  10. Only themselves to blame if they didn't. Doesn't look good for them.....
  11. They would have understood the financial penalties before they went over. They would have done a personal risk asessment and decided the Dees were worth the punt. They cop the fines but have the memory of a lifetime.
  12. Bit it didnt, because they didnt have it. I applaud their commitment. Well done fellas!

Our high nett worth supporters have always given the club more than it has given them. This story does not surprise me.

We can be a top club if the AFL always comes to our rescue when we become a joke..... Lets hope we have learned from our past mistakes and never need this type of help again. I like the new Melbourne.
  15. If we were to write a new "All time" Demons team 5 years from now, 3 of our current starting midfield group would probably be in it. If the sum is greater than the parts, we will win the next 3 flags.
  16. Was always stunned when I saw people on here posting that they would be happy to see him traded. Morons.

Their fall will be epic. They may enter next season with the oldest list in AFL history and almost zero under 21 talent. 3-5 years from now Geelong will be asking for priority picks.
  18. Just retweeting so you cant chicken out and remove/edit your post. Thats gold. 😆
  19. hmmm, it's a bit like a participation award. Always been a fan of those.
  20. To be fair, Cordy needed to go back to have a chance at touching the ball anyway as it finished 3m or so over the line.

That's a fair point. I think it will be Lever next. He just looks like he is (grooming himself) being prepared for the role. He throws himself in front of the camera at every opportunity. It's actually a bit of a laugh watching him wait for a bloke to finish an interview before he "randomly" walks past next to the journo, glancing sideways waiting to be asked to have a chat.

Trac is too emotional to be a club captain. You need a steadying influence when times are tough, not tears. Just allow Trac to be himself and leave the media commitments to others.

I wont be at all surprised if Port drop down the ladder next year. So many of their "top tier" players are getting quite long in the tooth and the youngsters don't have finals ready bodies yet. I'd be choosing Adelaide if I was a player or staff.
  24. Same. I just laughed. Couldnt have squeezed out a tear if i wanted to. Going back over the radio commentary may fix that
  25. Sparrow has come from nowhere to suddenly look like he can be more than a bottom 6 role player. A body like a Greek God, a leg like a mule, and a toughness that is rare for someone so young. And his delivery inside 50! Holy sheet! By God our recruiters have done a fantastic job over the past half dozen years.
