bing, you really do bring up some completely unnecessary stuff. I think you need to get hold of your emotions mate. Did you read the bit where I was talking about the "entire AFL community"???? The same AFL community that is required to be 100% vaxed? The fact that this virus is not stopped by the vaccine means that many of them will likely be infected at some stage. The fact they are vaxed means they should not become as sick as otherwise, but it will affect teams during the season nontheless. So why post something that we all knew anyway? I wasn't arguing that the vaccine doesn't provide protection.

Everyone will eventually come into contact with Covid19. While it would be mental to deliberately infect people with a deadly virus, I agree that it would be "better" if the entire AFL community had a dose of it now, rather than lists being decimated mid season. And with the lockdowns finished (for now), it will very likely occur during the 2022 season.

People can say what they like about our Premier, but thank God we don't require those face diapers up here in Queensland where I am. In this entire pandemic, our region has had to mask up for a grand total of 7 days from memory, unless entering a testing facility. Viruses such as Covid do not enjoy warm climates it seems. Europe can have their winter snow. I'll take the Covid-free heat thanks very much.

There is not a single politician who has spoken about this pandemic "just in terms of 'The Economy" Your medical and auxiliary professional friends are full of [censored]. The voices for the economic impact have just got louder the longer the lockdowns have dragged on, and rightly so.

Dieter, I actually like most of your posts, but this is clearly incorrect. People losing their homes and businesses should ALWAYS be a consideration during a pandemic. Or don't you thing that's important also? And Macca/Dieter, as much as I hate to admit it, I think the seemingly endless lockdowns and threats have "encouraged" ie: coerced many Australians to take the vax even though they had reservations. We are clearly one of the best in the world at takeup, and this should surely see us at the top of the list for border relaxation around the world. At least I hope this is the case. I live in a region that relies HEAVILY on tourism, and I would love to see all of you up here in the beautiful Whitsundays experiencing the reef/tropics and our awesome nightlife sometime soon.

Any chance you could link this? I haven't seen it anywhere. Thanks in advance.

Correct, and that poster would have known that. So why the "but those three words in isolation are most concerning" drivel. The utter stupidity and craziness of the people involved does not need to be exaggerated to make a point as their actions spoke for them clearly enough. And how dim would you need to be to give your opponents such wonderful ammo against your entire side of the argument. There are some real nutters at both extremes atm.

The overused term "legend" is completely warranted for the big fella. What a Captains season he had.

Non-football line of the year. By God Aussies are bad when they travel.

I think if the pubs are closed, Skuits team wins easily, if not they would be flat out getting a team together. And imagine the press they would generate.

Dieter thanks for that. It's probably the best AFL related interview I have ever seen. Actually, It's definitely the best I've ever seen. Informative, interesting, funny, insightful..... I guess I could sum it up by saying that I never liked Razor Ray until I watched this YouTube clip. He is my kind of human. edit: Should add that Robbo is now on my watch list for a follow. Wow he is good behind the mic.

Samac Walshovic?

That's in the same area that the first proposal came from regarding our training and admin area yeah? It was said that the Greenies would have a fit if that went ahead and I'm sure they would feel the same about this monstrosity. Being a closet greenie (that may surprise some), I would hope this project would be rejected also.

His lack of speed was glaring. He was slow. Plodding almost. Have a look again. -
POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs

Libba will very soon be a liability for the Dogs to run on the ball. Have a look at how slow he looked in that last 30 seconds of the 3rd when we were taking the ball away from the bounce. He looked like he was trying to run in a walking frame. -
Why not ban all testing? Just rank the draftees by their commitment to climate change and equality action and draft accordingly.....

Was hoping he'd stick around a while longer.

Will a team improve enough to challenge us next year?
faultydet replied to WERRIDEE's topic in Melbourne Demons
We are still celebrating a flag sue. I don't think it's too much to worry about. I expect people will still be nervous come the pre-season games, as we have all seen Premiers fall off a cliff the following season and we also know the dream run we had with injuries. That is highly unlikely to be repeated. Can see the Bulldogs being thereabouts again. Very solid list. Sydney and GWS to improve if things go their way injury and form wise. Geelong - Nope, it's over. Far too old. Brisbane, if injury free AND if they can get the monkey off the back regarding their woeful performances at home will be right up there. Port to finish high on the ladder but stumble again come the finals. Next seasons biggest improvers? Carlton and Adelaide. (Would have said essedon but they had a big leap this year) Biggest sliders? Geelong and West Coast. And I reckon North is a couple of years away from climbing, given the midfield talent they have/are bringing in. -
R.I.P Col. And all the best to your family and friends. Lets hope the cup brought you some joy mate.

Will a team improve enough to challenge us next year?

Will a team improve enough to challenge us next year? Interesting question. I gave it some serious thought, then pre-ordered a 2022 framed premiership guernsey to match this years. -
POSTGAME: GRAND FINAL vs Western Bulldogs
faultydet replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Nobody is perfect. I've tried calling in my own head during a game and make a hash of it every time. It's more difficult than many think, but these guys are supposed to be professionals. Tim Lane has always been my favorite. Followed by a young Commetti. I linked the other one simply so people could listen to a died-in-the-wool demon fan call the game.
