  1. This could be a hoot! Its Grand Final eve. Just imagine how plastered half the alcoholics on here will be. They will be linking all sorts of strange stuff.
  2. Yeah, me and my mates used to do that as young'uns also. Had great fun. Today the fuddy duddies call it shoplifting.
  3. Just want to make the comment to the Demonland faithful that I have sat through a game over beers with SWYL and at no stage did he come across as surly, grumpy or aggressive as he does in his posting persona.
  4. "He's built for finals footy" "Sad for the fans back home" "How will the rest affect them" "Perth has really got behind this Grand Final"

    I wouldn't trade 2 Cerras for Jackson.
  6. I very often roll my eyes and skim or ignore what I suspect are long winded and self-indulgent posts. I'm glad I read this. Thanks for posting it.

Have a blast Phil. Hoping Perth goes off its head if the Dees get up.

If we win I'm totally gunna munch down a bag of them. My face will look similar I'm guessing.
  9. Damn straight, although it's still good to see. The SEN radio coverage of the Brownlow was nothing more than a 2 hour advertorial for Sportsbet. I've never heard anything like it before in my life.
  10. The 2 are completely separate issues. He could win the Nobel prize for his activism and still be a filthy dog for that hit on Simmonds.
  11. Yeah, fair enough. I tend to get a bit jumpy when I see suggestions of Petty being moved around. He could be a star defender. I say leave him there.
  12. That would be a brave move considering he has been a revelation as a tall defender this season. So many key position players take years of hit and miss development before they hit their straps but Petty has been dynamite since his first half dozen or so games. I like him exactly where he is. It's now up to Tommo to show where he fits into the team imo.
  13. Not surprising that we'd only get a pick in the 70's for a bloke who has the ball bounce off his chest while 3m in front of his opponent. Sam started off ok, and I liked his attack on the ball, his tackling and his ball handling at ground level, but it seems that overnight he lost the ability to hold a mark inside the forward 50 and that is a career killer for a 190cm+ tall forward. If he stays, our sports psychologists have some work in front of them.
  14. The site is better with people such as your good self posting. Stick around brother.
  15. Please explain for those of us who proudly don't use facebook.
  16. Thats a cat sensing an eathquake? What an embarrassing thing for the owner to claim. Thats just a cat playing with a toy.
  17. https://www.afl.com.au/news/150911/stef-martin-knocked-out-after-big-hit-from-steven-may We definitely need to be prepared for the Bulldogs to try the physical stuff. It's been a tactic of theirs for years, and until very recently a weakness of ours. May, Viney etc need to be at their best, and annihilate the first Bulldog who tries to take Max out illegally.

That's a fantastic idea. Wonder is anyone has ever thought of this at AFL headquarters?

Sorry mate. Wasn't a stab at you. I was referring to the general football following public, not the diehards on here. Apologies.

Well said. So many people are unaware or ignorant of the things that the AFL did under Andy Demetriou to save us from extinction. We were an absolute embarrassment. A rabble. Broke, with a terrible playing list and clueless "leaders" in the boardroom and in the footy department. The AFL decided that we needed saving and sent Jackson in. They gave the subtle nudge to Roos to join us and also helped us pay our own "tanking" fines. We owe Demetriou a huge debt of gratitude.
  21. I still remember a story about David Schwarz years after the 2000 Grand Final. He was asked if he had any regrets about that day. Incredibly, he said he regrets not "going harder", I guess in relation to the aftermath of the dog Long and his cowardly poleaxing of Troy Simmonds. I don't picture Jack as a guy who will have regrets a decade from now when he is asked about the 2021 Grand Final.
  22. Can't see SPS being worth much. And West Coast are about to fall off a cliff. I'm warming to the conspiracy theories. That he hasn't made an announcement yet says to me that all roads lead to the Demons.
  23. "Ball! Yes!" from Bulldogs supporters. And "Fat side" And anything Brian Taylor or Kellie Underwood say.
  24. Good. Carlton fans can stop fantasizing about trading him for Cerra now.
