  1. Was thinking the same thing as I came across your post. Bennell has had his share of demons to deal with. I'd be confident that we have enough compassion for our former players to make sure we at least politely enquire as to how he is coping. As for Harley Balic, R.I.P young man. And thoughts to your family.
  2. He'll probably fail yet again and be dropped, just like has has several times already. Did you actually have a point to make? Do you think he will suddenly be able to do things that up until now he hasn't been able to? If he does, wonderful. But I think it's far more likely that he wont based on what we've seen so far.
  3. If Essedon win those first 2 games, their arrogant and aggressive supporters will turn up thinking the flag is theirs. Watch your backs in the crowd. Jesus I detest Essedon supporters.
  4. Without bothering to open the story up to read it, I'm betting it will be just like pre-season videos of Ben Simmons making 3 pointers and jump shots.
  5. What can one say about a man who pulls stuff out of his arz and proclaims it as fact? I've never said opening will make the virus disappear. I have said I don't like the hysteria that many on here show, and that it's past time that all restrictions on movement and freedoms were lifted. I mean banning dancing and singing for Christ sake...... Don't make siht up please.
  6. Yep, he went at a run rate of 200 that delivery. Not good enough.
  7. There are some on this site who I suspect would be satisfied with just that approach.
  8. You guys don't have any actual flesh and blood friends do you? Posting on a fan forum instead of hanging out with real people on Christmas day? pffft, I'm far too busy and popular to waste my time doing something like that...... Merry Christmas everyone. Hope you enjoy the day with your loved ones, and survive the day if you are with the in-laws.
  9. https://www.dfat.gov.au/geo/solomon-islands/development-assistance/development-assistance-in-solomon-islands We already are helping the Solomon Islands. Problem is we can't give them money to help themselves as Solomon Island politicians are world renowned for their epic levels of corruption when handling public funds. Lived there for 4 years and witnessed it first hand. We are doing enough for the Solomons and I suspect PNG also.
  10. Thanks for posting. They can't be celebrating Christmas as Jesus was not born yet, so they must be celebrating Santa. Demonstone was correct! I never realised that the Flinstones were a symbol of western excess and greedy capitalism. Will burn all of my old VHS collection forthwith!
  11. I would support this if the same rules were applied to smoking lung cancer victims, or alcoholic liver failure patients. Until then, I'm not sure anyone should be denied medical care based on vaccination status.
  12. Christmas is the day when children around the world celebrate the arrival of toys.
  13. Wow, that's quite a rant Deiter. You nailed: Scomo Christianity Capitalism Western civilisation Democracy Merry Christmas mate. I hope you enjoy the day off for Jesus' birthday.
  14. He was simply pointing out the obvious. Have a look through the recent history of multiple flag winning outfits, and the seemingly over the top trade value they received for some of their lesser players. We will be no different if the current core sticks around long term, which appears to be on the cards. Players want to PLAY, not be sideline viewers while their mates win flags. They then look elsewhere for a best 22 role, often at a lower placed club with cap space and draft picks to burn, which inflates their market value. Its a fact of life in the AFL.
  15. Something a club that makes it's players sign confidentiality agreements while injecting them with performance enhancing substances should look outside its own walls in order to find. Despise this lot and its aggressive, arrogant supporters. Would not feel anything but disgust once they finally break the drought. Heres hoping for a century long wait.
  16. This is exactly what I was thinking when i was typing my post. Would be interesting to see if he is given professional advice to cut back on it for a while.
  17. I wonder if it has anything to do with his social media presence? He puts himself out there, and the vitriol via socials can be soul destroying. Hope the kid can sort himself out, and that his team mates and footy community can give him the support he needs.
  18. Can't play all of your mids on the defensive side. Would make it impossible to contest a backwards tap by our ruckman and leave them free to simply take the ball out the back of the pack with no pressure. They need to man up where possible, and play a fast mid out the back to cover for a front of centre clearance. The 6-6-6 rule works well for us currently.
  19. He's still a kid. What was Petracca doing at 21? On the other hand, Petracca has fantastic game sense (possibly due to his confidence in the abilities and choices of his team mates) whereas Smith possibly has some room to grow in that regard. Anyway, about that Gawn fella........
  20. Sparrow - Scott Thompson. Except he's staying (for now at least)
  21. That's terrible. No woman would ever rate a bloke higher based on how many opportunities she has to parade in front of cameras in a custom made dress. ........can't find the tongue in cheek emoji.
  22. Duuuuuuude, thanks so much for posting that. Stuck up here in north Queensland (lol, I know, its hard to live in Airlie Beach), and relying on you southerners for a report. That brought me closer than I ever thought I would get. Magnificent video. Feels like being there. Wow.
  23. President schmesident. They are not in the same league as a CEO/Coach/Captain, or any player who was on the ground. In fact, our assistants and the entire scouting/recruiting/list management team are more worthy of attention.
