Webb is silk. I'd have him top 25.

It is her job to get the info close to the draft. And I believe she is the best at that job. Usually she nails these mocks a day out. I did prefer her work back in the big footy days, when she did them months out. But.. I understand she's had to adapt now she has a media gig. If she has St Kilda taking McCartin, that is telling.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CHRISTIAN PETRACCA

No you didn't. -
St Kilda are making a mistake overlooking Petracca.

Yeah I read that. I thought Richardson let slip a bit as well. He mentioned that taking McCartin removes the risk of not being able to find that forward down the track - and also says the Saints are keen to get a forward in besides Riewoldt. First solid indication I've heard that there might be substance to these rumors about McCartin going 1. -
I understand your point, but.. McCartin would never of made it to pick 4. Judging by a recent article, St Kilda rate Petracca, McCartin and Brayshaw as worthy of pick 1. The value of pick 4 dimishes (in regards to St Kilda) when St Kilda see 3 absolute stand outs.
-
I think we win either way. We could do with another forward to help Jesse out for the next decade, take the pressure off him. But if Petracca does slip, we'd welcome him with open arms. I'm glad St Kilda have the tough decision to make and not us.

If he is up to it, I'd play him round 1. This isn't a young Jack Watts we are talking about. -

McCartin is more of a footballer than Darling. Jack Darling is an athlete - and a VERY good one. But judging solely from a football perspective, McCartin has superior hands to Darling and much better football smarts. Darling is just big and quick, but he lacks brains and is a bit rigid under the ball - we won't have that problem with McCartin. -
He did say Jones should've been captain in 2012, and was ridiculed for doing so. He might be a muppet, but I don't see thevil1 going out on a limb.
-
I'd only be interested in Dangerfield for the right price. Frawley compo and a player - not Toumpas/Watts. Other than that I wouldn't pay overs for Dangerfield. He won't play at a high level beyond 30. Dangerfield is courageous in a stupid way. I think he is overrated - and inconsistent - aswell.

Mightn't want the pressure of wearing no 11 again. I will give Clark the benefit of the doubt until he makes a statement. Could be insinuating he is leaving as not to compromise our possibility of getting a PP.
-
Sounds like Barrett just trying to pry things out.
-
If Clark was going to play, I see no reason he'd play elsewhere. This is a guy who acted in the best interests of MFC when he did retire. I think Clark is selfless, he obviously has some issues, but I'd be shocked to see him in other Vic club colors.

Mitchell is worth pick 3, I'd do that trade in a heart beat. This is a serious football player. I would take Mitchell over Petracca every single day of the week. Proven before potential and IMO Tom Mitchell is as proven as their is a young footballer.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HERITIER LUMUMBA
ThreeOneSix replied to Moonshadow's topic in Melbourne Demons
Lumumba a semi-decent athlete, sadly that is where it ends. Just a very ordinary football player, basic skill level is that of an under 13 player. I'd rather throw Jurrah out there after 10 pots than this bloke. -
Taylor should've went top ten. I thought both Salem and Taylor were the pick of the bunch. We should've used our Sylvia compo on Taylor IMO.
-
I hope Frawley leaves, I prayed Scully left as well. When players come out and are not absolute in their committment to the club, then I don't want them. We need men, we do not need insecure, attention seeking little children. Scully has performed to expectations for mine and Frawley will do the same - if not do less. I tend to agree with the great Leigh Mathews in that Frawley is on just a footballer.
-
Best pick in the last decade. Salem will be our best player in a few years.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - BILLY STRETCH

I think we'd of had to part with our second rounder anyway. Was pretty impressive during the champs, I thought one of the more impressive kids throughout. -
Now we are starting to cop a belting, this is where we see who stays - and who goes. Players need to dig in now. Some would be playing for their careers.
-
Dom Barry is doing ok. Hill works top level players over. The guy is a seriously elite athlete, he works over elite AFL athletes. Considering Barry has only played a few games, it is no disgrace to be worked over by Hill. As for Watts, well.. Jack just needs to ask Viney what this game of football is about. Maybe get Todd to work with him for a year, because Watts just doesn't know basic football.
-
Catcha later Matty Jones. I'd rather watch us have a dip and get done by 100 - than Matt Jones kicks.
-
Don't stress, there are no real stand outs in the draft, they'll go up a spot sure, but IMO there are no 'O'Meara's' in this draft.
-
I'd take Robinson tomorrow, hasn't done a lot wrong IMO.
