  1. I wouldn't pay Frawley a cent over 500k. Can't kick to save himself, should consider himself VERY lucky if we offered him 400-500k.
  2. This is a good year for us if we get 2 picks in the top 5. Next year we'll add Toumpas, Trengove, Hogan and a few quality kids - hopefully a couple top picks. Also, improvement from Salem, Kennedy-Harris, Kent and Viney. We'll be a VERY promising side next year.
  3. I agree, Gibbs isn't an A-grader. He certainly has the tools to be an A-grader, but Gibbs rarely impacts games.
  4. A content environment perhaps. Richmond desperately need a 'Nathan Jones/Jack Viney' type player. They lack an inside mid, they believe talent alone will get them there, it won't. Shane Tuck was a bigger loss for them than they recognize.
  5. Nah, not really, I watch Jimmy as a junior, that is his level. It is all above the shoulders for Toumpas.
  6. If we leave Casey, I'd like us to have something down Pakenham way. I notice that a lot of Gippy Power kids and Gippsland kids (Best, Blaser) have all decided on Casey in the past. Casey is the closest to Gippsland, but Pakenham would be closer still. Gippsland area is untapped, I'd like us to tap into it - with a long term view. Country Vic is there for the pickings, Hawthorn used to have it when they were at Waverly. But for the past 15 years it has been neglected. Ablett's were all from country Vic, that is why they went to Hawthorn. MFC need to establish themselves as the presence in Gippsland and beyond.
  7. Barrett must of been a hell of a football, because everyone listens to him. Seems as though he is the 'voice of football'.. I never watched him play, but I assume he was a cross between Carey/Ablett.
  8. 500k for Shiel would be an ABSOLUTE steal! I rate Shiel very highly, it will take that type of coin to get him onboard. Richmond will be chasing him hard. Treloar will be highly sort after, would be great to get him. O'Rourke and Plowman are the other two. Would be great to land any one of those players, would be a dream to land a couple of them.
  9. Viney's height makes no difference. Jack is low to the ground, in and under, crash and bash. Crying over cms is ridiculous.
  10. They had success in the late 80's and early 90's. It would've been more concerning that their members dropped off in the first place. We are in a far dire position currently than Hawthorn were in 96
  11. I actually hope he does have a passion for photography - because he obviously can't make it out on the ground and we are paying him a stack. If he is passionate about photography and retires, we won't have to pay him in 2015. It is a shame because Clark is as good of a player - and leader - as we've had the past 10 years, his body just isn't up to AFL.
  12. Yeah It is a shame.. Clark is a hell of player and an absolute leader. I don't buy into the 'mental issues'.. I just believe his body won't allow him to play football. I remember reading on Big Footy off someone on the Demon board that Clark would not play again, it appears he is right - he did seem 100% about it. I think it's a smart move by MFC to give Clark leave.
  13. Gawn 2016. Some way off. Doesn't pay to draft projects. But it is the MFC way.. Gawn will be a great ruckman, but it we'll have to be patient. It is another lesson we have learnt. Hannah was a big miss for us. We all knew that. Can anyone tell me if Salem played? How did he go? Viney needs to play smarter, it is dissapointing.. Someone needs to have a good chat to Jack.
  14. Mitch Clark is a leader, it is a shame he isn't out there.. But, that isn't his fault, football is a tough and frustrating game. We'd all rather Mitch get back out there in good nick, no rush.. This guy is just stiff.. Dawesy, Hogan and Clark would give their left nut to be out there.
  15. "Going through the process" and "One game at a time" They both annoy me. In fairness though, the players can't really win, if they show any arrogance, the media jumps on them.
  16. Nathan Jones a lock.. Frawley and Garland the only other possibilities.
  17. I wasn't making light of it Colin, I was actually being realistic.
  18. Joe Daniher turned his back on the Swans and I bet he kicks himself every day. What a move, lol.
  19. Why? I was spot on.. Jurrah went on to drink drive after that, amongst a raft of other criminal offenses. Demonland was singing his praises before that, I was proven to be 110% correct, not that it's about that. But I love the MFC and I do not want to see it be brought down by sociopathic individuals like Jurrah - he done enough damage. Once again, what you forget to highlight Torpedo, are the victims! Jurrah was lucky to of not killed anyone drink driving, lucky to of not killed his cousin. I could go on and on, but it's irrelevant now - as is Jurrah.
