  1. I agree 100% with you. I'm not convinced that Roo's doesn't want to coach MFC. One thing I've noted about Roo's this year is that he is big on American sports, loves his basketball and doesn't get into Watts like most do, he has time for him. Now, Jack Watts was obviously one of Australia's best up and coming talents at basketball, that is no secret and Roo's obviously thinks he can turn Watts around. Roos has stated in the past that MFC have A LOT of talent and I am sure Roo's sees our list like some optimists here do - I am one, I think we have great talent going forward. If I were Roo's, I'd let PJ know that I will take the job on the condition that the board is sound and the AFL allocate MFC a Priority Pick after our first round pick.
  2. I wish Robbo was on the Couch, he'd definitely put some heat on Paul Roos.
  3. In fairness to Bomber, he has been the most successful coach in recent times and is now back at the club he captained. I don't think Bomber will coach any other side but Essendon again.
  4. He just put Eade under more pressure than I've seen in recent times - of any candidate be put under, on live tv. Eade still didn't really give an answer.
  5. Robbo is actually dominating on 360 tonight.
  6. Mick didn't really pass on much at all to any of his assistants. The thing with Mick Malthouse is that he is a motivator of players and he works on more of a one on one level to get the best out of individuals. Mick clearly makes the side dependent on himself, that is the kind of person he is, that is why when he left Collingwood - they fell to pieces. It's also the reason why Buckley was clearly out of his depth as a coach and has had to learn on the job.. Getting Eade in was very important. Where Roos and Bomber get everyone involved and believe that everyone should be leaders - Mick doesn't do that, he is old school. Eddie knew what would happen if Mick taken all his knowledge out the door, without sharing any and he put in a handover plan in place. Malthouse still took all his knowledge out the door and Collingwood have slipped ever since.
  7. Robbo rang Paul Roos 4 weeks ago and Roos told him that Roos won't be coaching MFC next year. Robbo says that Roos doesn't say the same in tomorrow's paper. So, ray of hope perhaps. Rocket Eade on next.
  8. Robbo thinks Peter Jackson is a professional. Gerard Whately doesn't think Neil Craig will be at MFC next year.
  9. Robbo not happy with Beamer about his 'Karma is a bish' slogan. They reckon PJ is one ruthless SOB. PJ reckons players want out of our club and decisions had to be made for that - and membership, etc.
  10. We don't know what went on, so hard to bag either man out. Let's not forget, Rivers also bagged Neeld, Pettard obviously wasn't happy and if we listen to rumors - Frawleys wanted out. So, let's not jump down Beams throat here, he was a good servant to our club and a former B&F.
  11. Same, I couldn't care when it all started, let's just concentrate on fixing this mess up!
  12. Good luck with a Jones for captain thread around here.
  13. Aish has the points on the board, the pedigree, the talent. Watch Aish during the championships, this kid has it all. If he is slight on, it's because he has had shoulder surgery - which was in december, basically giving him very little gym time. Boyd was exceptional in the championships last year, looked ultra impressive. If we get a priority, we'll take those 2... Someone would have to really smash it during the championships for us not to take those 2. Billings is one to keep an eye on, hasn't done a hell of a lot this year - but along with Boyd and AIsh, was a stand out as a bottom ager last year during the championships. I know some posters say we shouldn't get a priority, which is fair enough, I'd be happy for the AFL to give us one - as I think we are better than most think and it would only give us a leg up.
  14. A lot of what you said is on the money champ. And... They were simple decisions that we made hard.
  15. Nah, they played, the went down... Barry kicked a bag and Hogan pulled in close to 20 marks. Still wasn't enough unfortunately.
  16. Yes and they will, Liam Jurrah was defended on this board after assaulting young females, make no mistake, Mark Neeld will be defended even after his sacking.
  17. According to wiki, he's a former club captain and two time bluey truscott winner! Before my time, I'd never heard of Greg Wells, but looks a perfect fit.
  18. Sounds like the clean out is well and truly taking place.
  19. I agree that were shouldn't be this bad, but we've never had a full side on the park to see how good our list is. Grimes, Sylvia, Clark, Dawes, Frawley, Viney and Jones have all never been on the park at the same time. Those players are a good foundation for next year and whilst some are out atm, it gives other players a chance to step up. As other posters have mentioned, a few players need a miracle, other than Dunn - who not even a miracle could save, what a pathetic decision maker and lazy person.
  20. I dare say that white, black, purple, pink or yellow, if you do as Liam has done, you get time. The only reason Jurrah wasn't in earlier IMO was due to this case being in the public eye - hence it gets more attention. Liam had more chances than most indigenous citizens to prove to the courts that he was trying to rehabilitate himself - and he failed dismally. Jurrah is very much a danger to society and thankfully he was locked up before someone got killed, hopefully he rehabilitates himself in Jail, so he causes no further harm to others.
  21. Maybe there is something behind the mumblings we hear about Hogan going home, club on the front foot. Guess we have to find out before this years draft, that way if he is leaving we can take Boyd.
