Potential Trades [Warning: Reading this thread may self-destruct]
CBDees replied to Dr evil's topic in Melbourne Demons
I guess that you can call sacking their coach meaning he is in trouble! -
With Sanderson now sacked as coach [despite having two years of his contract to run], this may change a few Adelaide players ideas about whether they stay/go including Dangerfield. Let us hope that we can get a deal done!

Potential Trades [Warning: Reading this thread may self-destruct]

I like the way you are thinking but am still somewhat reluctant to jettison both Trengove (past captain and No. 2 pick) and Toumpas (No. 3 pick) as I feel that we are still to see the best football from these two [partly due to injuries] and i would hate to see them thrive under another coach other than Roos. -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - HERITIER LUMUMBA

Very impressed with the highlight reel. He reminded me of Jurrah to an extent and I am sure that Roos could use him very innovatively if he decided to add him to the list. He would only improve our team compared with the likes of Nicholson and Clisby who we have just delisted. -
Yet at the same time Todd Viney, better than anyone else, was familiar with both Toumpas and Wines respective pedigrees and we picked him. We had the inside running on information against the other Clubs yet we made the choice that every other recruiting officer would have made at the time.

It ain't gunna happen!

Adding to Biggestred's response, the point is we got a Round 2 pick for Sylvia, a former No. 3 pick whilst Hawthorn received a Round 1 pick for Franklin. Also, as Premiers they had more depth than us [as Cellar-dwellers] so occassionally the AFL looks at things objectively!
-
On the contrary: let them all work at our opposition Clubs [just not ours]!

Nothing wrong with using Fitzy in the forward line either following another pre-season under Roos.

Just what this thread needs: a Conspiricy Theory!

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CHRISTIAN PETRACCA

Why on earth would Mitch Clark go to the Saints if he wants to play Finals footy? He would be better off in a team boasting him alongside Dawes and Hogan which was the intent this year. -

I agree with SPR on this. St. Kilda are the only one ahead of us in Round One and they are not going to committ their No. 1 pick. Similarly, it would bne risky for Port Adelaide to commit their Round One pick, meaning he is likely to blow out to the Third Round as St. Kilda is the only one ahead of us in the second round. It is a no-brainer committing to him now under the FS rule. -
Go onto the MFC website and you will see that he is still on our list. We don't have to redraft him, just let him remain on the list!
-
As long as he remains on our list (which he still does) then he deserves a thread and to be the subject of speculation.

AFL where the $$$$$$ rules!

1. Peter Jackson 2. Paul Roos

They should do away with clash jumpers altogether [or insist that Collingwood have one]. We survived back in the days of B&W TV [when a mud-stained North jumper looked like a Collingwood one] by adopting black shorts vs white shorts depending who was playing away. Combine that with 'red socks' in our case and there is no way that our home jumper clashes with anyone else. By contrast, our away jumper and St Kilda's home jumper constitute a real clash when we play them.

6 Tyson 5 Vince 4 Kent 3 Tommy 2 Dawes 1 Watts

Or you can play it backwards to watch us come from behind to acheive a draw!

Now you can go scuba diving!

and McDonald kicked his first two goals!

Just minutes ago he was warming up with Viney?

and Bennell!

GWS traded us Tyson because [with so much talent around] they didn't rate him or realise his potential despite picking him up as pick 2. In his third year with us, he is a gun and there is no reason that both Salem and Toumpas will turn out likewise. I am sure that Roos knows what he is doing with these kids.

Is the match on Melbourne radio [or only Fox 3]?
