This is what I love about him too. I've never really seen anyone negate so well whilst impacting the game so much as well. Normally a 'tagger' needs to sacrifice his own game to hold down a champion midfielder, but Vince does it, kicks goals and gets 30+ possessions (a lot of them damaging). Viney also very good at negating whilst also impacting in a meaningful way, but Vince is on a whole other level.

THE SAGA CONTINUES - WADA APPEALS
Bluey's Dad replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
HAHAHAHAHAHAHA I love this organisation: "Essendon chief executive Xavier Campbell said on Sunday he was “100 per cent” sure Hird would coach on despite a yearly football review at season’s end." What's the point in doing the goddamn review then?! I'm seriously running low on laughing gifs. -
We all saw this coming when we were denied last year. Demonland was full of "well, they can't possibly give out any more PPs unless a player dies or something similar". The AFL should have thrown us a bone, an end of 1st round pick perhaps, to at least keep the idea of long-term poor performance warranting a PP alive. The only way out they have now is to essentially say Brisbane can have one because they are in a growth market. If we thought the [censored] of us possibly getting one last year was bad, can't wait to see the other teams' reaction to that reasoning. Eddie will flip his lid. Edit: [censored] apparently not censored. Good to know.

THE SAGA CONTINUES - WADA APPEALS

"Chubb had denied liability, in a letter dated April 12, 2015, to indemnify Hird for his trial and appeal costs on the grounds that the policy did not afford cover for Hird for pursuing legal proceedings as a claimant; and his legal costs were not reasonably incurred" -
That was an awesome tackle! Also the look on Viney's face when he was singing the song was gold, that kid loves the club so damn much.

It's a ploy to reduce his trade value so we can get him cheaper.

Apparently there aren't enough of them for a system like this. If they make a mistake, they can't be dropped because there isn't anyone to take their spot.

If we somehow land Dion, we become much much more attractive than we are now as well. IMO we need a young core who make a 'pact' like the GWS guys. Stick together, get better, win etc etc.

This is it. This wins the internet. I'm putting this in my next 'AFL fan survey'.

Can you get me some of the good stuff Nasher? You are clearly on it.

I now have an image of O'Meara being presented with his MFC guernsey at a press conference, cameras everywhere, people cheering, and then PJ hands him a big sack. "Is this them?" Asks Jeager. PJ gives a subtle nod. Jeager completes his interviews and photo opps, but his mind is elsewhere. After his PR responsibilities are done, Jeager races home with his sack. He opens it. Could it be? Yes, it is! The left nut of every single poster on Demonland! Jeager O'Meara then goes on to become the greatest player of all time, returning home after each game to his collection of... preciouses...

Musings on two years in the wilderness
Bluey's Dad replied to Deetective Sgt. Taggert's topic in Melbourne Demons
Sure, for now. But wait until the UN prosecutes us for human rights violations. No country should ever get away with what we as a nation are put through - watching MFC games. -
Train, like players. Why expect them to do this in their spare time? Fitter umpires cover more ground. Get them examining vision and stuff like players do. Meetings about who made which good or bad calls. It should be a full time position, just like any AFL player.
-
I think he dropped a lot of acid in the 70's. I was pretty surprised when I read that article last year about how there are so few umpires at AFL level that they can't even drop one when they have bad games. The article then said they weren't even full time. Unbelievable. The AFL should take some of that money from the broadcast deal that the AFLPA wants for the players and give it to full time umpires. You could argue to the AFLPA that full time umpires may result in safer games by more consistent rulings.

Joel Selwood becomes the most valuable player in the comp

I notice he didn't mention anything about channel 7 not being in HD. Or terrible streaming plans and quality. Or overpriced and outmoded Foxtel pricing. Or gambling advertising. Stoppages aren't the only issue affecting fans watching the game, although yes it is a big one.

I think demonology normally post links to youtube uploads on their videos page.

Ah Ha! BURGS is the spectre! We've been looking in the wrong place! It's not the players, we should get rid of Burgs! He keeps reminding the players, publicly, about how [censored] they are. Get on it Roos.

Delistings/trades at end of the season
Bluey's Dad replied to Northern Summer's topic in Melbourne Demons
They'd make us keep paying his contract. Shop him around to Bomberblitz instead?
