If you want to argue semantics, we can wait until the next election and see who I vote for. Then if I vote for Turnbull, you can admit your argument is invalid. But I won't commit to it until I see how Turnbull goes. You seem to be of the view that all conservatives have to be of this heavy right wing persuasion. It's just not true. It's conservatives like me who Turnbull appeals to. Just because he doesn't appeal to you doesn't mean that he won't change other liberal voters' minds.

Agreed. If anything I think this indicates that they haven't really changed. Still the same disregard for the rules (even if in this case a handshake agreement). The apology is just an "oh [censored], we got caught, we'd better make this go away as fast as we can". Great article in The Age today from Caro as well. Worth the read.
