  1. Well spotted WJ. Fox Sports Ben Waterworth and team have done a great job. Interesting to hear where players go post the retirement or delistings. Good to see many Demons will find a place. I do hope Marty Hore actually gets the list spot with Kangas. I thought he was very unlucky with those injuries. Not questioning his delisting but it was cruel after a bright 2019. It must be very tough for many and challenging both financially and mentally to adjust. AFL footy club life is 100% consumed with the club (aside from some players having studies or small business interests where the player can).
  2. Gotta love the number 14 Lily Mithen. Sheโ€™s a dynamo both on field as she plays with great intensity but also her fun vibrant fast thinking personality off field. Daisy. Lily. Libby. Such great teammates and leaders for this Dees team.
  3. Alyssa Bannan has got such huge potential. Excellent athlete - size and pace. Love her footy potential. Her goals were both fantastic. The run and 3xbounce goal was top shelf. Deserves her Rd 2 rising star award.
  4. Agree with the additions but Fitzsimon and Petrevski unlucky to miss out. Very strong squad this year.
  5. 5 Hore 4 Hanks 3 Paxman 2 Birch 1 McNamara special mention to Alyssa Bannan for two wonderful goals. Especially the 4 bounce run from the centre to outrun her opponent and slot a major in the 2nd quarter what a draft in 2020 โ€ฆ Bannan, McNamara and Caris. They are all very very good youngsters.
  6. Demons 2022 membership pack arrived on Friday. Kids excited for another year.
  7. Terribly sad. He was a talented young man. My heart goes out to his family and friends. For all of us, please remember to take care of yourself and look after others.
  8. Eden Zanker is a star. Fantastic in round 1. Watch out AFLW.
  9. 5 Zanker 4 Birch 3 Hore 2 Hanks 1 L. Pearce Daisy gets honourable mention. She missed an easy goal in the 3rd but otherwise was smart and clean with the footy. Classy to watch.
  10. Yes big wraps on the squad for 2022. Letโ€™s hopefully get the premiership cup for Daisy. Sheโ€™s an absolute legend of AFLW and the sport. So talented. Brave. Inspirational. Tayla Harris of course will be a big plus for the team. Karen Paxman is a definite A grade star. Also keen to see Libby Birch now as our number 1 defender. She is a great athlete and improved so much in the past two seasons. Eden Zanker is another to watch out for. She was really shining before the โ€˜21 season ended.
  11. Really excited to see what Tayla can do in 2022. She is an amazingly strong and determined young lady.
  12. Interesting analysis. Yes it shows that Viney had important and what he had a good year when he played.
  13. Sorry yes I actually meant Ellison rather than Goonan. Ellison looked very handy in some games and had a day out when he kicked 6 as a midsized forward v Werribee. Then the shutdown happened. Be good to see what he can do with hopefully a full season ahead. Still time ahead as heโ€™s only 20.
  14. Jay Lockhart - going to Southport Zac Foot - going to Southport Corey Stockdale - to Norwood SANFL Corey Machaya - local footy Cora Lynn Jack Hutchins - off to Mansfield Two of the better Stingrays in 2021 Clayton Gay and Bayleigh Welsh are off to West Adelaide SANFL Seems many youngsters want the guaranteed game time rather than the limited or unlikely call ups to Casey Looks like itโ€™s Matt Buntine plus the likely returning group of White, Munro, Grey, Sparkes, Freeman & Goonan.
  15. Family friendly โ€ฆ no !!! Wanted a massive round 1 Friday night fixture for the Dees v Bombers or Cats or even Dogs. Got a Wednesday night. Hmmmm nah yeah nah why not the Friday night as Dees v Dogs ( why Stk v pies on Friday as two underperforming non-2021-finals clubs )
  16. Listened to this again this afternoon. I think being confident and in the right mindset is vital in elite sport. Goody also showed a human side and connection not just with the footy aspects but his own self. Very refreshing and engaging. Again a very good 30 minutes listening particularly as Reigning Premiers. ๐Ÿ†๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿปโค๏ธ๐Ÿ’™
  17. That Best 22 looks Premiership quality ๐Ÿ†โค๏ธ๐Ÿ’™ Casey depth squad is a good balance between depth and development. Guys like Hunt, Tomlinson, Dunstan, Weideman, Jordon and Melksham will be putting their best case to get in the team. That drives the best in all. I would also expect Laurie to get a debut in 2022 if he stays healthy. Very smart skilled youngster.
  18. Lock it in. I like the reasoning and connections where possible.
  19. Spot on. #45 would be perfect. Wheels as his mentor.
  20. Thanks. Itโ€™s a very good article. Max is a legend ๐Ÿ† Definitely going to get Maxโ€™s book. On the must read list.
