Umpiring standard
The worst one for me was they gave a red hot insufficient intent against sparrow early and then the same umpire let daicos handball into into row 27

Max and May after the siren
May has 15 of these with lever every quarter… it’s a non issue

KOZZY A DEMON FOR LIFE!!!
I wonder how much of the welfare\community support would be baked into the contract to make him feel comfortable and supported. I am sure the MFC would basically accept any terms that mean kozzie is a career long demon

Time to go Goody?
We seem to be building in the right direction now which is nice. If that continues there is no reason we can’t win 8-12 games for the year and either sneak into the 8 or just miss it but with real momentum for 2026, much like we did in 2020

4th Quarter blues
Fitness looks a very real issue now.

Melbourne Football Club - The CEO
Paul Guerra is a massive Essendon guy, nearly joined their board multiple times and a huge footy fan. He hasn’t played at the top level but it’s not like we plucked this guy out of Antarctica. He knows enough and will bring far more commercially than others. This is key when we also have to assess a new home ground and a poor crowds. FD decisions are made by a team, not by one person and it might actually help to take some emotion out of it and just make sound business decisions about an employees performance vs expectations

POSTGAME: Rd 06 vs Fremantle
Sean Darcy got dominated by Gawn today to such an extent that he Might wake up in cold sweats dreaming of max grabbing it out of the ruck
-
Tom Fullarton
Our forward line does look a lot more capable of at least applying ground level pressure and some spark this week

Melbourne Football Club - The CEO
My guess is the club has landed on Nicholson and they’re just verifying before announcing

New coach prospects
I think a Cameron Bruce and Adam Simpson as senior assistant combo could be very effective

The Luke Beveridge Thread
Leppa would be a really good target to replace richo as gm

KOZZY A DEMON FOR LIFE!!!
I’ve never seen a club that makes life harder on itself. How many times since 2021 can you remember a Melbourne forward leading in good patterns and being hit on the chest by a player lowering their eyes? I’d wager Brisbane have done that more in 2025 already than we have in total since 2021
-
The Luke Beveridge Thread
I would personally prefer John Longmire, Adam Simpson or Ken Hinkley over Bevo. All three while not perfect consistently put out teams that can compete and contend, play attractive styles and have experienced big finals. John Longmire would have been head hunted by multiple teams if he didn’t stand down imo

Time to go Goody?
We are 0-5 We can’t defend or attack Our game plan is unwatchable and the players don’t look like they want to be there We know the talent level is there, an interim coach releasing the shackles and telling them to have fun and play attacking footy will if nothing else at least make us better to watch
-
Time to go Goody?
We don’t even have a CEO or permanent president in place. The decision making of the club isn’t in place, we need a good experienced CEO in place asap to guide us through this mess
-
Time to go Goody?
Pretty hard to defend this. We are terrible to watch. If you’re gunna lose just have a crack through the middle and try and make it at least fun to watch

Harvey Langford Rising Star nomination Rd 3
Love our Jordan Dawson clone

Xavier Lindsay Update?
Just watching the incident I reckon we’re in for some bad news which is a real shame.

New coach prospects
I think of how people like Kingsley, McRae and Mitchell have totally transformed seemingly terrible teams into contenders quite quickly and think maybe a new voice is an option worth considering. skipworth at the filth has huge wraps, Corey Enright looks a future senior coach to me and Chris Newman always seems to be in the mix

Kudos Brad Green
Fair enough on the specifics, generally though he's just establishing a position of strength for potential future negotiations which is fine, and also letting Kozzie and his management know how highly he's valued. big picture it's unlikely to change anything but the outcome, but Kozzie is contracted and i certainly wouldn't be accepting any deal that isn't really good for us.

Chandler HBF ?
I definitely see what you're thinking picket, but i think the club has Caleb Windsor in mind to do exactly this, dash off half back

Chad Warner
Assuming they are going to bring in the rule we can trade 2 years in advance for draft picks, probably a 25,26 and 27 first rounder for a fully fit and in form Petracca. we'd probably be asking for players, or 25/26 draft assets though to mitigate any impact caused by Tassie.

Chad Warner
He's a contracted top 5 player in the comp. if they want him, they will have to pay our asking price, or he'll stay a demon, end of story. Why on earth would we accept less than the typical asking price of a super star player? It would clearly be the clubs preference to keep him, that's why we signed him to a long term deal, to grant leverage in exactly this scenario.
