Great to have this bloke (McCartney) at the club
Ted Lasso replied to Chris's topic in Melbourne Demons
The thing Macca brings is another bloke who's been involved in premiserships, another respected voice saying " stay the course, we're on the right track" it sounds as though he's committed to be goodys right hand man when he takes over, which is fantastic! -
Same as dawes, allows his opponent to mark too easily, turns what should be a 50/50 ball in the forward 50 into a rebound and potentially two goal turnaround. Hogan is the only one who consistently either marks or brings it to ground

Keep in mind we will be offering jesse a large extension very shortly too
-
Absolute [censored] head of the highest order, I'd find it hard to support the Dees if he played here.
-
Its official. Tyrone Vickery is now better than Jack Watts

Mate, Fairy bread is fantastic! there is no still here, don't be a [censored] about this. -
Pick 6 for mayes and redden would be nice
-
[censored] of epic proportions.

D-rod is probably a good mentor but surely there'd be someone better out there, get Roosy to pull some strings and get Jude Bolton to teach him how to be a contested ball machine or something
-
ENYAW, you're an inspiration as always, the only negative thing about you is there is only one. keep up the good work son SPR xo

I reckon Essendon sacked Hird when they did to grab headlines away from Gils big deal, seems like the sort of thing they'd do.
-
I reckon it's about time clubs start matching offers on RFA's just to be dicks. once they make a decision to leave they're fair game, especially if compo picks are done away with. Match the pick and send him to the draft, give the lions some thinking to do.

Depends on the deal, if we could get him in a straight swap for someone like Grimes or Dawes then sure, the kid has some talent, but I wouldn't give up too much for him
-
Would love to see Crossy kept around as a development coach, the type of bloke you want at your footy club, in whatever capacity we can squeeze him in.
-
Fantastic career and contribution to the club, his influence will have rubbed off on alot of our young blokes!

Delistings/trades at end of the season
Ted Lasso replied to Northern Summer's topic in Melbourne Demons
David Mackay, Nathan Hrovat, Jack Redden, Adam Tommlinson, Craig Bird I reckon they'd all be gettable, and all add to our side -
I really think Redden would add to our side, and I think he has some development left in him that Roosy and Macca could get to work on. not sure what his trade value would be though

Paul Roos heralds more onfield changes at Demons

Crows have an interest in gorringe i have heard so three way deal? Howe to suns Gorringe and pick to crows Lynch to dees? -
Monde joey is a very experienced player, jimmy won't be the last player he gets the better of like that, also a lucky bounce didn't help.

Clearly, Pace, Class and Skills are right on the agenda. I reckon we've got the grunt, time to add the outside polish -
I thought he showed something, clearly needs another couple of years in the system to develop physically but the raw ingredients are there. would like to see young White given a run next week at the expense of Matt Jones or someone like that.
-
This is our biggest problem, the club desperately needs a signing of this calibre.

Nathan Jones is the best leader we have at the club right now, I think in time one of the young mids will take his mantle. I really like the idea of a Jesse Hogan/ Tommy Mac co Captaincy.
-
Pick 5 and Jeremy Howe would be a deal they'd have to consider surely. I reckon he's going to the pies or Hawks though.
