I still think to the right side Howe will get us a decent return.

I'll make a massive call here, Jesse Hogan is the most important person to the MFC in terms of retaining that I've seen in my time, we want out of the nightmare, it starts with locking him up long term, Brayshaw, Salem, Petracca and co will develop into a good midfield but Hogan is the type of player that wins you premierships.

I'd much rather have Jimmy on the list then someone like RO bail, if Jimmy plays anything like he did in the game against the saints consistently, look out. he has it in him

Honourable loss coming up I reckon, and that'll be treated like a win by the club.

Treloar is in a whole different league to Miles, and has so much more speed, skill and X factor.

Will the Big Russian get a farewell game?
Ted Lasso replied to The Lobster Effect's topic in Melbourne Demons
players are either unsure if the club will keep them on, or already been tapped on the shoulder and want to impress opposition recruiters or are trying to establish a spot in the best 22 and one strong game before the end of the year could provide a platform of momentum, a dead rubber in terms of the club as a whole, but not in terms of individuals. going to be significant list changes again, that said I do hope he gets a game, I just don't see anyone being keen to sit it out to make it happen.- 85 replies

Will the Big Russian get a farewell game?
Ted Lasso replied to The Lobster Effect's topic in Melbourne Demons
I'm not at all disputing the servant Russian has been, one of my favourite all time MFC players, but a large amount of our list are playing for their careers, and even a lot of the contracted players are trying to establish themselves, I don't reckon Spencer, Gawn or Hogan are going to be keen to give up a spot, Oscar Mcdonald might be an obvious one but I reckon it makes sense to give him the next couple of games to get a taste of AFL footy. I hope that he does get a game but i'm just not sure how that's going to happen.- 85 replies

Delistings/trades at end of the season

Plowman can play, a little hard to judge his trade value though for mine -

Gawn is our number one ruck, and Spencer has smashed the door down, it's unfortunate but at the stage we're at we can't afford to be sentimental.- 85 replies

I've mentioned a few times on here, Jesse gets along well with my best mate, we let him go visit his family basically whenever he wants, the club for all the things it does wrong is managing Jesse really well, and she said he has mentioned that to her, he's stoked with how we treat him, we have invested so much in the kid, and he rates the club and it's direction so absolutely nothing to stress about here, every time we play in perth he takes a few extra days over there. But lets indulge the hyperthetical, Jesse asks for a trade to freo at the end of 2016, still contracted, we'd demand Nat Fyfe or Lachie Neale and their 2016 & 2017 first rounders

Delistings/trades at end of the season

Looking at our list going forward the spots i'd have locked up and would take a massive deal to trade would be.. Lynden Dunn ???????? Nev Jetta Christian Salem Tom Mcdonald ??????? ???????? Jack Viney Bernie Vince Christian Petracca Jesse Hogan Jack Watts Jeff Garlett ??????? Dean Kent Max Gawn Nathan Jones ?????? Angus Brayshaw Dom Tyson Alex Neil-Bullen Billy Stretch -
The MFC reminds me of a team that genuinely wants to get better because that's what should happen, not a team who desperately wants to get better and will one way or another make it happen. there are certain players within the club hell bent on seeing us improve, and there are others that think it'd be a nice idea. we need to be ruthless this off season, i'd rather see 18 year olds running around giving the effort of Brayshaw, Stretch and Nibbler than blokes who have been around a while and lack the fire in the belly to make things happen.

I must say I have some concerns about the way they're handling it, when you're talking about 250-300 game premiership legends of a footy club being pushed out the door so you can sign the current big thing it just to me doesn't sit very well. surely they couldn't let blokes like Stevie J and Bartel just walk to different clubs.

No mucking around with this kid, 7 year deal worth 10 mil.

So potentially the lions could get pick 2 for Leuenberger? Frawley was a joke for pick 3 but my god no one could defend that!
-
The fact we dont lose by 80 points plus every week is a good indication of our improvement

Hooray for mediocrity

Narrowing down the draft - Dees to pick between 3 mids?
Ted Lasso replied to Young Blood's topic in Melbourne Demons
If we go to the draft i think it'll be balic -
Howe has more value to teams like GCS or GWS because he is marketable, he is a unique player and so because of that factor he is worth a bit more than what his playing ability alone probably is, I wouldn't be surprised to see Brisbane lions join in the chase in a big way.

Pretty sure we're going to cop it bad this week Roosy said he wants to see the boys get angry, I reckon they might go too far, it won't last long enough and Freo will give us a touch up 70 plus point loss.
-
Rumours flying around that we're into Lachie Plowman, Howe for Plowman? Howe for Lynch at Adelaide? Howe and a pick for Bennell? I reckon Howe is worth about pick 20-25

Is he wrong? Fair to say optimism isnt a common thing around here.
