  1. Port wont want anything other than picks.
  2. I think the beauty of this, and same thing with Jesse last year is that the player is able to develop a really strong understanding of the types of movements they should be aiming for, what's going to help their footy but also their durability long term Christian will have learned a lot about footy, his body and the life of an AFL player this year, I wouldn't be against a mandatory 12 months on the list before playing for all new draftees, as exciting as it is seeing them come straight in, the benefits we've seen with Viney, O'meara, Martin, Crouch, Hogan and now Christian are obvious. The kid's a star.
  3. I thought he was super impressive when he played at CHB and ran through the middle, looking forward to him teaming back up with TMAC for 2016
  4. Entirely possible the deal is on the table pending a potential trade, say Toump says he's happy to stay but if we can get a deal done for him to go back to SA he's happy with that too, he might have agreed to terms but not signed on yet.
  5. I reckon if true it's a bit of the you have to give to get principal, Hartlett is probably the most expendable of Wines, Wingard, Boak and those sorts of guys, he'd solve their salary cap issues and pick 5 or 6 in return knowing the MFC are interested would mean they'd be able to bring in Dixon and still grab a good young player from the draft
  6. Just looks like a super coachable kid, does everything he's asked, loves to tackle and do the hard stuff but quick and skilled on the outside as well, I think he'll develop into a really good player for us. Bit of red and blue in the veins never hurts either.
  7. I think it was more about the fact there was pick 12 on offer and there is and always will be significant risks with Trenners from here on out, I don't think there is too much doubt what he is capable of if it's all smooth sailing from here on out, but it's probably fairly unlikely.
  8. I was told this morning, and take this with a grain of salt, as it was a long term Essendon Member that the Bombers weren't sure they could get Worsfold on a long term deal so they're looking at a Paul Roos style Succession plan with Stuart Dew to take over and Woosha to see the club through what will no doubt be a tough few years
  9. I wonder if to get rid of the salary cap pressures the power would be willing to entertain young master Wines moving to the Dees in exchange for a couple of good picks, maybe picks 5 and 23 for Wines and a later pick
  10. They can have pick 41 for him
  11. Id be pretty stoked with jed anderson if we could shake him loose
  12. Neeldy should put his hand up for the role
  13. I reckon macca has a gentlemans agreement to mentor goody and damo is just stirring rubbish to be honest. Some people at richmomd i know seem to think blake carrecella is a huge chance given his coachimg credentials and link to the club as a player
  14. Why not just trade hogan, brayshaw and viney as well
  15. Essendon wanted wines or wingard and a first rounder for ryder... They will demand hogan, brayshaw or mcdonald
  16. Make it happen! The kids a gun
  17. #bringbackmorton
  18. I think Freo win the flag from here, I really like the Eagles but I think beating Freo in a Grand final vs beating them in season when they were miles infront on top of the ladder will prove to be two totally different things.
  19. Our chasing Bennell was always going to be conditional on A. what the actual risks were with this situation. B. How much we'd have to give up to get him to the MFC. No doubt the suns would want more than just our first rounder for him, clearly that's a risk the club would need to seriously consider before making. Having said that i'm still of the opinion that Dion Prestia is still very much a target and one i'd much rather bring in then Bennell, both would be nice though.
  20. I think the best thing for both parties is a change, Jack has attributes that would make him a weapon at a more successful club with a fast outside game style like the dogs or Hawks.
  21. If someone will take him, trade for what we can get, might be a tempting steak knive in a deal for a good mid
  22. Forgot about vanders bb my mistake
  23. I remember chatting to Macca at Pre season training during a match simulation drill ( Macca was kinda just introducing himself to supporters and shouting the odd comment to the players) and Salem did one of those we've through 5 blokes and hit Hogan lace out things he does and Macca just said " keep an eye on this kid, he's a beauty " sums it up pretty well.
  24. There recruiting has been worse than ours besides a couple of exceptions. ( Cripps, Docherty, Menzel )
  25. My locks for 2015 ????????? Tom Mcdonald Lynden Dunn Nev Jetta ??????????? Christian Salem ????????? Jack Viney Bernie Vince Christian Petracca Jesse Hogan Angus Brayshaw Jeff Garlett ????????? Dean Kent Max Gawn Nathan Jones ??????? Dom Tyson Harry Lumumba Billy Stretch Alex neil-bullen With the new interchange rules there will be a far greater reliance on endurance players than ever, the amount of explosive players that a team can carry will take a hit so guys like Kent may find themselves competing with someone like Garlett for a spot in the team
