  1. really confident on this one, i think he'll be fine, god i hope i am right.
  2. I know this thread is about Jack but just looking at our young mids Brayshaw, Viney, Petracca, Oliver, Tyson, Vanders, Salem, Kennedy, Bugg, Trengove, add in Jones and Vince, and Gawn spoon feeding them, So impressive the transformation of this club, Roos took over imo the worst side of all time and in 2 an a bit seasons has turned us into a genuine Finals contender with a huge level of talent, imo the best coaching staff in the AFL and an extremely exciting few years coming up.
  3. True dat, loved the way he got stuck into the ducking king when we beat them last year, unsociable footballer
  4. Largely due to us having one of the weakest and most shallow midfields in the past decade meaning almost every entry is fast and under little to no pressure, the reason he is so highly rated is that he has not only held his own but won key battles under that sort of heat, when we are a top 4 side TMAC is going to be seen as the best defender going around.
  5. I would suggest this all but confirms his place in the leadership group.
  6. On par with Jesse Hogan as our most important player imo, if he plays like the game against Geelong last year consistently, he could win a brownlow.
  7. I'd probably rest him against the dogs just to be safe but that's great news!
  8. No way, this group needs to win as much as possible.
  9. I reckon you'll see Tmac and Jesse Sign on if we improve, and possibly both go if we don't, it's a pretty simple equation really.
  10. Jack Viney is going to be one of the dominant mids in the comp this year, and still has alot of room to improve.
  11. It's amazing how big an impact Hogan has without really going near it, you can see defenders panic just because he's near the drop of the ball, it's like Carey in his day
  12. we had to hire the best available successor for Roosy an i believe that was Goodwin, he could easily have been a senior coach elsewhere at this point, clearly extremely highly rated within the industry and i think he will add a very good attacking side to our game.
  13. Doesn't seem like anyone is super worried about it, so that's a good sign, i reckon if it were an ACL we'd know by now.
  14. interesting to see how we go with the 90 interchange cap
  15. I think Oliver is going to miss out, simply because of the role he plays puts him up against some very good players, but gee he shows good signs
  16. I really liked the change of attitude, it's not about sticking with opposition any more, it's about attacking them, and it starts at the contest.
  17. He is a great combination of inside-outside, has pace and can finish off but is also tough at the contest and hates losing.
  18. I want to see a win, we are well past the point of being happy with a "good effort" This is a strong MFC side, no excuses
  19. Pretty important decision, i reckon he is well within his rights to not be certain.
  20. seen both play, granted not at AFL level but the doubts I had on Oliver have been settled in my mind, so I have no reason to think it wasn't the right call.
  21. I reckon there is a huge chance Vince is vice captain this year.
  22. Really excited to see Clayton get a run, very happy to eat some humble pie and admit i think we made the right call choosing him over Parish.
  23. they have their hands full with Hooker and Macarthey
  24. The situation isn't anything like Howe last year, Jesse has been in talks for a while now and to the point numbers and years are a part of it, he's been shown a vision of the future, i am firmly of the belief, Jesse has an offer on the table and he and his manager simply want to see improvement before he signs away the next 5-7 years of his career, which is absolutely fair enough just watch him train and you'll see he's totally invested in the club, he wants to be part of it. Putting talks on hold is simply to quiet the speculation of Jesse signing in the very near future so he can make a calm and calculated decision in his own time, but i have no doubt he will sign on.
