Absolutely! should be a good game either way! best defense vs best offense :D
  2. Absolutely, but Jack Martin is an absolute jet, when he gets a good run at things and is injury free, i think he's going to become an A grader pretty quickly, i think Jesse is already there though
  3. Now lets lock Jesse and Daisy in a room together :D
  4. From my point of view anything Jack does is a bonus from this point, if he gets back and becomes even a good player it will be a huge bonus for the club!
  5. The recruitment of Weiderman suggests to me that neither Dawes or Pederson are in the long term planning unless they significantly lift their game, as such i wouldn't be surprised to see Weiderman blooded fairly early on depending on form.

Going against the grain and tipping the Broncos, i think a universal sporting law seems to be that a strong defense will help you win big games, they were able to beat the Patriots who i thought would win the superbowl, so if they managed that, i see no reason they can't topple the Panthers.
  7. A rule change suggestion that had been thrown around a while ago was the possibility of introducing 1 franchise player per team and being able to pay that player outside the normal salary cap, that'd be handy right now.
  8. 100% agreed and i personally am extremely confident
  9. Agreed, so far he has detailed documents about what was given, but he doesn't the players weren't given TB4, doesn't deny giving TB4 but argues that it isn't performance enhancing, just seems to be digging himself a deeper and deeper hole.
  10. Hasn't he been saying that he infact does have those and some smoking gun evidence that is going to clear the players?
  11. Hahahahahahahahahah alot would have to go right for us to make the 8 i think, but to suggest we aren't in with less of a chance then Essendon reflects an unhealthy level of delusion. Essendon will win the spoon.
  12. Just some points to add to this, Dom came back in amazing nick from his break, it's clear he is determined to really get back to his best form and beyond this year, it's been a pretty good pre season for him in terms of injury and he's training as well as i've seen him train, looks a bit bigger and stronger and moving well, winning plenty of the ball and generally using it well, we know he has class but i think it's really clicked for Dom just how hard he needs to work to cover the pace he lacks, Jack Viney is a pretty good example of this i reckon
  13. " the suggestion that it's performance enhancing is laughable " So he isn't denying that they took a banned supplement, just suggesting that it shouldn't be Banned? lol whether it's performance enhancing or not is irrelevant if they didn't take it, Mr Dank.
  14. I don't believe any AFL club would have many elite prospects that they don't know, let alone a young key forward from the West, they may have underestimated him but i have no doubt he was always going to be a target if he showed any interest in going back to Perth, exactly the same as Jesse would.
  15. While i agree 100% it was a silly move, i think AFL clubs can be very persuasive places, most are very good at selling a vision and he wouldn't be the first player to sign a deal and then think, what on earth have i done? but GWS should have just traded him, whatever point they were trying to prove is going to result in them losing them for far less now.
  16. I am a bit of a Jayden hunt fan i must admit, i really hope he can get an extended injury free run.
  17. Really bothers me that there is almost a celebration of the players that are being signed as top up players, in my opinion the top ups should not be selected ahead of any of the remaining listed players and only used in the case of injuries, remembering that this situation has come about as a punishment, and really it's just becoming a case of minimizing the damage.
  18. Top up players are being picked to make the 22 stronger, this isn't fair, they should only be allowed to be selected for matches in the event Essendon cannot field a team out of their remaining players imo
  19. I suppose that by the end of his contract with Port you weil have an answer, but i still believe Jimmy could have been an AFL level player with us, having said that i am not unhappy with what we got in return for him and do believe moving on is the best thing he could do for himself.
  20. Because you had a kid, come into one of the worst team of all times with the expection he would be one of the key pillars that would pull us out of it, but he and the club knew that his body wasn't going to be anywhere near 100% early on, and in his second year, he'd play a pretty solid game, then get dropped, was in and out of the team all the time, third year he got a solid run and started to show that he could mix it at AFL level a bit and then had a bad game and was dropped again. not an easy thing to handle for a young man unless you are a particularly resilient person.
  21. Totally agree, i thought Toump showed flashes of being the type of player we thought he could be when we picked him, the game against the Saints last year is a good example, unfortunately his confidence was shot to pieces early on as well and he wasn't able to do it consistently enough, i really hope the new environment helps him
  22. No, not at all, but i am interested in why he feels that way.
  23. i am having trouble grasping your position on this SWYL, do you believe Jack is being given more chances to get back then his ability as a player reasonably reflects, or are you frustrated that it hasn't come out fully that Jack himself is partially responsible for the degree of injury and shouldn't get the level of sympathy he's geting?
