and the area it's happening, if they get out the back we are stuffd, but we are going to turn over a lot of balls up forward
-
they're pretty young Jes, maybe you should sign on for 10 years so you don't miss out? :D

I understand what the Ox means, the kicking could be the difference between Jesse being a Travis Cloke or a josh Kennedy, having said that he seems to have very few bad kicking days, if he feels comfortable with that run up, go for it. this is not the first big comment OX has made about Jesses contract, one not long ago about how we shouldn't break the bank to keep him right after he put talks on hold

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CLAYTON OLIVER
Ted Lasso replied to Freddy Fuschia's topic in Melbourne Demons
I don't know, i wasn't as impressed with Weitering as most people seem to be, Moore is a gun, i think Oliver is right in the mix and i reckon Petracca will be as well -
Press confrence at 8:30 rumours sent the blood pressure through the roof! i thought he's either retiring, out for the year or just re-signed for 10 years

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CLAYTON OLIVER
Ted Lasso replied to Freddy Fuschia's topic in Melbourne Demons
I just love the sheer effort and hunger of the kid, he goes in 3 or 4 times at the contest every time, all day and tries to rip it away, and when he gets it has the pace to burst away I know alot are saying Voss or Black. but i really see more of Chris Judd, -

Jesse Hogan was also reasonable in his first full season, comprehensively beating the ALL Australian full back in his fourth game. i am expecting Petracca to be just as impressive as well when he gets out there! we're pretty blessed at the minute. -
This might be unpopular but i am not sure Brayshaw should come straight back in, he's best 22 in my opinion but like all young players i'd like to see him build some form through Casey for a week or two, the team that's just played has won three in a row, so keeping unforced changes to a minimum would be my plan i think
-
I don't believe Grimes showed enough in the NAB challenge to be considered best 22, having said that given the introduction of the interchange cap, and we saw against the saints how tired players were, i think Grimes might be helped by the fact he's a bit more seasons and capable of running out a game like that then one of the younger blokes imo

See this is where it becomes obvious to me, there were no records kept, and they kept him on the pay role for how long? how many legit supplements programs would be allowed to go on for more than a week without constant updates and comprehensive records to show it was worth the hundreds of thosands of dollars they were investing?
-
I'd disagree, simply because i think the height of the GWS defense is something we could expose, Peders is a decent contested mark and good enough to demand attention plus he's reasonable around the ground as a back up ruck.
-
i'd go Watts, he's in great nick, Make Shaw accountable because Watts looks a match winner if given the chance
-
Trengove will be given all the time he needs, and imo needs to show good form before he'd be pickied anyways, not a certain starter I think Petracca will be playing a bit sooner than him depending on form
-
Will be a really special moment to see the number 9 back out on the G, jack has had a horror run but has handled himself brilliantly, he is an inspiration to anyone going through long term injury and i have no doubt he's been a huge part in Christian petraccas recovery as well!

Jesse Hogan and his kicking for goal (merged thread)
Ted Lasso replied to Ricky P's topic in Melbourne Demons
His kicking is normally very good, but when it's as complicated as it is, if he's having days like yesterday when nothing is working, it's going to be a worry. Jesse will be fine, only a couple of weeks ago against Port he was clunking monster marks and kicking well just a bad day, like TMAC had against the dogs, better now then during the season -
I thought it was a fair bumb, the ball was right in front of him, first contact was the shoulder and low contact would be overstating it, if he gets weeks for that it may as well be a non contact sport
-
I don't mean to be a downer, but i think Wagner is still a little way off where he needs to be for AFL level
-
It will take our best footy to win next week, so if they're very average, we're f'ing terrible
-
If we cut the skill errors down by 50% from what they have been in the NAB cup we are a huge chance to win 10
-
Staggering, does he really think we are going to change our ball movement because Roosy is back up in the box?
-
Hogan is doing alot right, it's just the drops, it's only a few % and he could have had a bag today
-
Hogan is the type of player to step up and do something big, just one really good moment to get us over hte line
-
we should have blown them away in the last quarter
-
if it turns into a slow contested ball game it palys into our hands
-
you can just see how much more tired players are
