  1. Some teams will respond to the interchange cap, others won't, i expect it to suit Freo and Sydney in a big way, i think Bennell can get Freo over the line for their first flag this year.
  2. Bugg i think will become a very good B grade two way midfielder capable of keeping a quality player out of the game and having an impact offensively, as well as playing that role which free's up Viney and Vince to be more attacking and really use their weapons.
  3. kid attacks the ball like Jack Viney and Gus Brayshaw does, but has far more speed than either, could be a huge weapon.
  4. this time last year he was sprinting and kicking because he had to try and pass a medical at Richmond, and the crows wanted one as well, this year we've locked him in and are in no rush, i'd rather see him not play til mid year and make it back then us take any risks with Jack, he's way to good to risk it.
  5. Yup, my source on this belongs to another footy club who would have been very interested in recruiting Dom, like most would i imagine, and he is of the opinion it could be done before round 1 and he isn't going anywhere, to many close mates at the Dees
  6. Heard today that we're chatting to Dom Tyson already about a new three year deal.
  7. and if he's fine he'll get another, if fit, certainly a required player
  8. From what i've seen of Jacks running he looks free and pain free, he is past the point of his last setback, so that's a good sign
  9. Jake Melksham has come across on good money, he'd want to show a bit more than he has done at the bombers.
  10. Wattsy is OOC and up against it to hold his spot in the 22 in some pretty exciting times, 2016 is as simple as jack watts answering the question of how badly he wants to be part of it, is he willing to fight for it.
  11. There is no more important inclusion in the Demonland banner for 2016 then Daisy if you ask me, she's right up there with Jesse and Chunk as the most marketable and passionate demons out there.
  12. I was super impressed with the way Harmes finished 2015, i reckon a solid pre season and he should be right in the mix for round 1.
  13. I rate Bugg, he's a very solid run with player who can win his own ball, he will free up Vince and Viney and allow them to attack more.
  14. Seems to do alot right, the only thing i've ever heard about viv is that there are a couple of things the coaches want him to do more to hold his spot at AFL level, i suspect one is tackle.
  15. Good kick, can mark overhead, can tackle... eh happy with that.
  16. Pretty hard to judge where Oliver is going to be at by round 1, from a fitness point of view most draftee's seem to do between 65-75% of the program in their first pre season, i'd expect Oliver to probably be less under normal circumstances given he has missed the previous 2 pre seasons, don't want to blow the kid up, having said that it seems we're focusing much more on footy this year so that probably increases the amount the young blokes do. I reckon he's really going to have to earn it, with the interchange cap we are going to have to make sure blokes are 100% right to go before they play.
  17. Something i noticed at training the other day that i haven't seen from Watts is a bit of leadership, he's really getting around the boys this year more than i've seen him do, maybe growing up a bit.
  18. Still have alot of faith Trenners will be back, and will shut alot of doubters up in 2016, he's as good a young player as we have and fully fit, look out.
  19. Not a surprise packet as such, because i am backing him in but i reckon by the end of 2016, Max Gawn is in our top 3 players and on par with goldy as the best ruck in the game.
  20. I reckon it's going to be a case of you're either aerobically out of this world or you have to play multiple positions to get a game, mids are going to have to rest forward, rucks are going to have to rest forward, i think games in general are going to be alot more contested, going to see the gap between the best and worst widen a bit more, Carltons kids will not be able to match the hawks fitness and that's going to be highlighted.
  21. Looking at the some of the predicted best 22's the pace side of things actually isn't all that bad Melksham, Jetta, Lumumba, Garlett, Kent, Petracca, Watts can all run and carry the ball
  22. imo Petracca is right to go, if we were picking round 1's team tomorrow he's in it. the interchange cap might hurt Olivers chances slightly, even he admits he's got a long way to go in terms of fitness, i think he's ready in most other aspects but we will see what happens
  23. I think we would have looked at this draft in a vastly different way had they been drafted say 2 years ago under Roos and no pressure been put on them, i don't rate Scully but i think he's still be in our 22 and Trengove i think could still be an A grader if he gets his body right.
  24. It's not just the six tackles per game, it's the fact they're brutal, you see when jack viney or gus brayshaw hit someone, they take a bit to get up, Oliver rattles the opposition, not someone anyone wants to line up against. Oliver, Jones, Viney, Brayshaw, Petracca, Trengove, all love a hard tackle, bring on 2016
  25. Something that is bugging me and is hardly related to the MFC but really gets me is why the hell SOS is rated so highly as a recruiter! he's screwed up so many more picks than he's gotten right. 2012 he grabbed...1: Whitfield ( looks good but obvious choice ) 2:O'rourke ( gone to hawks after showing little ) 3: Plowman ( gone to blues after showing little ) 12: Jacksh ( gone to blues after showing little ) 14: Corr ( looks okay, but not standing out ) 2013 1. Boyd ( gone to dogs after showing little ) 2. Kelly ( looks a player but obvious pick 2 ) 14: McCarthey ( good but wants out already ) 2014 4. Picket ( eh, did he even play? ) 6. Marchbank ( looks okay ) 7. Ahern ( meh ) 11 selections inside the top 14 in 3 years and imo 2 players that look like long term giants is a Melbourne-like result. hope his strike rate is better at the blues, for their sake.
