  1. Dank is really annoying me, if he had smoking gun evidence that cleared him or EFC he would have used it, he's just an egotistical [censored] who is so far in over his head that reality has become a very strange and distant idea, and James Hird is also there.
  2. Anyone else get the feeling this might become a much bigger issue in 10 years time when the players start showing some serious side effects of the experimental drugs and drug combinations. I mean dank thought they were race horses.
  3. Been on it all day, he'll be lucky to make it to the show.
  4. plus the serious potential of snagging pick 1 in 2016 and welcoming back Hurley, Hooker, Heppell and co for next year, I don't imagine Watson will come back.
  5. People forget this is a result of the actions of the EFC.. not Wada, had they not had a supplements program it wouldn't have happened, the blame 100% sits with the Essendon football club. the reactions have been disgraceful from the AFL, AFLPA and EFC, totally ignoring the evidence and once again acting like WADA is the big bad wolf out to get them for no reason. If jobe keeps his brownlow and EFC are able to gain pick 1 next year it will be a reflection of what a joke the AFL is, they cheated.
  6. What rubbish, the fairest and best player in 2012 cannot also be a player who has been found guilty of drug cheating, for Jobe to keep his brownlow destroys the very meaning of the award in the first place, it shouldn't be up for discussion.
  7. So the AFL and AFLPA think the code is inappropriate for the comp because the result went the wrong way? what about all the evidence? players hiding the injection program, the AFL tribunal found them not guilty, it failed, not WADA.
  8. the AFLPA need to understand that they aren't on the same level as groups like WADA, they exist to support the players, not chuck a wobbley when the result goes their way and make ridiculous public comments, yes it's strong penalty, but the AFLPA are in no position to make any comment on if it was right or wrong, just go with what the powers at be say, and provide support where they can, all they have really done is fired up a few delisional EFC supporters and conspiracy theorists
  9. I find it very disappointing that the AFLPA are far more concerned with taking pot shots at WADA then having a crack at the club within their competition who's just been found guilty of doping 34 of it's players, even the AFL tribunal with an incorrect evidence requirement couldn't find these players not guilty, so the result really isn't all that surprising, I don't have any sympathy for any profession athlete who doesn't know and can't prove what they have put into their bodies, if they knew and could prove this, the investigation wouldn't have happened in the first place, if they weren't sure, they should have said no to Danks injections until they had written proof of what they were taking, they didn't and it's come back to bite them.
  10. It's interesting for someone like Dyson Heppell who I imagine would be on a fair crust, he'd potentially miss out on 800k- 1 mil for the year he is suspended out of this, I wonder if the club could be forced to pay a portion of that as you say, due to their responsibility in all this, however I suspect the players have shot themselves in the foot
  11. Agreed, I don't think the club would be willing to change that to much, if other clubs are allowed top ups I wonder if Essendon and co will come sniffing around for Cross
  12. For those who understand the legal side of things I have a question does todays result have a significant bearing on any players attempts to sue the club for failing their duty of care given the players are responsible for what goes into their bodies and signed consent forms? has the club covered their own bums and hung the players out to dry?
  13. the absence of AFL influence perhaps? the correct level of proof also? and WADA being a far more professional outfit
  14. That must be what he meant, I mentioned how [censored] it would be if a bloke got suspended and the club had to pay him, and he said, the clubs knew that wouldn't be an issue, cheers for that
  15. Admittedly not particularly knowledgeable with the legal stuff, but I would have thought the action by the players against the club would be a real concern for any coach or support staff that had anything to do with this, including Goody.
  16. Melksham is going to have an interesting 2016
  17. I am told Jakes contract with us has conditions that if a guilty verdict is handed down his salary is significantly reduced, there is no way the clubs/boards who pick up these players would agree under normal conditions, Saints and Port are paying big money for Carlisle/Ryder
  18. Silly boy, no doubt he is feeling it, but could be a lot worse.
  19. I watched young Sam destroy the Northern Blues last year, reminded me a bit of Jesse actually, if he can stay fit those two will be a very dangerous combo
  20. I rate jack as a player, but enough words, 2016 he needs to become a leader and take some ownership of where this club is going, he's a senior player, been around a long time and while not everyone agree's i think he can play, he can't just be a player who is possibly a wingman, maybe a forward and probably not a defender, by the end of the year we need to know what he is, and i suspect it will either be, a solid MFC player or at another club if he doesn't take the next step.
  21. I'd argue it did for Hogan as well, showed some flashes of how good he was going to be but really didn't have a huge impact in the first few games, in comparision to the type of form he did build into, but Petracca is training extremely well, has a very big developed body and i see no reason he can't have a significant impact next year, the interchange cap is the huge variable, i think that will make things tough for all young players.
  22. Possibly, but while Weiderman is a little less developed right now, unlike Hulett, Weiderman has played against AFL listed men, and dominated in the game against the northern Blues, so i don't think he'll be all that far away if he can stay fit.
  23. Petracca, Melksham, Bugg, I reckon Roosy will make Oliver earn it
  24. who knows, so many variables Tyson at best is A grade, but will he find consistency Trengove could be an A grader if he can make it back Petracca could have a Hogan like impact.. could Oliver could have a Wines like impact.. the real key will be if Gawn can play a full season at the level he showed last year, if he can, he can push All Australian and make life alot easier for our mids, funny how mids suddenly become rated much higher when your ruck gets his hands on the ball a bit more.
