Lewis and Hibberd are both beautiful kicks of the ball, our skill level just got a really timely boost! as well as composure, experienced leaders.

Did i just read right that the Cats are paying a first round pick AND a player for Tuohy? just about spat my arvo tea all over the table.

I reckon they've gotta add a player, pick 10 and say Hartung the Suns clearly want a first round pick and a ready to go player.

It's weird because pick 14 and pick 10 would have got this deal done and they could have found a way to satisfy the Swans rather than the angry Suns.

Not sure how the Hawks get the deal done for O'meara from here outside of the Suns just taking whatever they can get

Agreed, interestingly one of their young players i thought looked alright was Ben Lennon, and he's attracted seemingly no interest from anyone, i wonder what the issue is there.

I reckon that's a bit weak as an example, doesn't mention Rocky once and comes days after someone in a similar role at a different club categorically stated a player wouldn't be moving, only to trade them a couple of days later. surely you can understand why posters wouldn't let it rest based on what a club official says under these circumstances, and given it's a rumor thread i don't think there is really any huge issue with it.

PSD option? sounds like he isn't going to find a new home and at the reduced price i think he certainly adds to our depth.

There was a bit of talk around that Essendon wanted this years picks so they could package a few up and have a crack at O'meara perhaps now that's not a factor they'll be more receptive to our 2017 pick, we need a deal breaker, because they will just wait this out and force our hand as it sits, we'd have to be willing to lose Hibberd to take that chance

The Tigers need to get their head out of their asses, what you offer a player will often come back and bite you at the negotiating table, telling a player he's worth x amount but then trying to convince the club he's worth nothing they're going to have to hand over pick 6 personally i'd be really keen to keep that pick, but they're desperate to at least look relevant.

I think Dunn was/is probably best 22 but the club is obviously keen to give O'mac game time, it's great we've been able to find him a new home where he can hopefully play regular senior footy win-win for both sides, apart from Dunn who has to join Collingwood and will most likely experience yet another of his senior coaches get sacked this season.

Essendon are known to be horrible to deal with in trade week which is why i suspect noone has had a crack at pick 1, they overvalue everything. they need to understand they did the wrong thing by Hibbo and in part caused him to miss 12 months of his career, they owe it to him to not be tools about this, a future second round pick for him given he's missed 12 months is extremely fair.

Gold coast are rightly arguing that if you rate a guy as being worth 750 k for 5 years you see him as a genuine A grader so pick 6 outright is a fair price, Tigers are weak so they will blink and give up pick 6

I know this will get howled down, but this is a guy who i think would have captained the Hawks in 2017, is co captains with Nathan Jones totally out of the question? obviously the players vote and all that and i am usually against new players getting in but surely this is a different set of circumstances, talking about a genuine A grade player and A grade leader.
