FWIW, i've seen nothing on Twitter, the AFL website or the MFC website so far confirming that we infact have no interest in Rocky, nor have i seen anything from the Lions or Rocky himself.

Three days to go in a very crazy trade period, will be very interesting to see what plays out from here. if it's indeed not a Rockliff trade, i wonder what's holding up the Hibberd deal

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JORDAN LEWIS

The really bad part is they look like effectively giving up Lewis, Mitchell, Whitecross, Hartung, pick 10 and more to get in O'meara who hasn't played in two years and has a very serious injury history. -
Emphatically denying a player will even be considered for trade and saying even if he requests one they won't trade it is well and truly above towing the company line. i would take that far more seriously than a report on SEN that we aren't interested every day of the week. but again not saying they're wrong, just didn't really feel your "intelligent people" comment was needed.

but of course that is a totally uninformed prediction from a supporter with little idea how he will come out of a full pre season and what our injury situation will be like next season. but good on you for finding a way to pot shot Jack Trengove in a thread about Jordan Lewis. -
I reckon what Wright said was as emphatic. He's a required player and he WON'T be traded is fairly strong, and they backflipped. not saying it will happen, but nothing should be treated as an absolute in footy, especially during silly season. but an intelligent person would know that as well.
-
Definitely! but what i am saying is 3 days is a long time in footy, a lot can change. there is plenty of chatter around about this, so time will tell
-
Hawks said a couple of days ago Lewis was a required player and wouldn't be traded. just saying
-
Yeah, i suspect that/twitter/callers on trade radio or whatever, though i am not 100% sure. Rocky, the Lions or his manager haven't publicly come out and said it's not happening.
-
A little, Robbo basically directly quoted Chook in Perth and said " Brisbane know nothing about it" and Brett Anderson and Terry Wallace said they're hearing it all over the place but can't confirm or deny it at this stage
-
Interesting that if clubs could trade without consent, Lewis would most likely be on his way to the Suns.

Zac Dawson to the Dees on a 12 year multi million dollar deal?

I reckon number 6 for Lewis and number 14 (assuming Dunn goes) for Hibberd -

I suspect any interest we had in bringing in Barlow is now gone, Lewis taking his place -

Hibberd bullet pass from half back, hits Lewis in the middle of the ground, lace out to Hogan, precision will always beat leg speed, but we have some genuine leg speed as well so it's not a bad spot to be in -

Our speed and outside mid stocks aren't bad: Lumumba, Hunt, Harmes, Kennedy, Vince, Salem, Melksham, Petracca, Garlett, Kent we have a few guys who can run and carry and be damaging on the outside. the thing to remember is that fast runners doesn't always mean fast ball movement, the Dockers have Pierce and Hill but still seem to move the ball quite slowly. -
100% very rare that anyone can post information on here without getting at least one person question it, if you have confidence in your information though you won't be bothered what posters think.
-
Something different just not heard anything to suggest we've either cooled or the Lions have said no.
-
Interesting, that's not what i am hearing.

That's what i am thinking mate, upgrade Wagner and Smith and maybe use that pick 80 on someone like Tim Smith if he's still around at that stage -

Yes, only because we have to use a minimum of 3 draft picks and if that's the case and we get Hibberd our first pick will be around 80. -
The rumour has seemingly been started by the bombers suggesting O'meara will go to them in the pre season draft instead of to the Hawks, i think it's rubbish personally.

Peter Schwab ✔@czar_peter One word of advice for fans. Don't believe everything you hear or read at trade time seemingly applying some cold water?

strong chance if he played for MFC this year he would have won the bluey.
