  1. You can’t have three blokes getting no touches in the forward line. Spargo - smart enough to hit a target Pickett - dangerous enough to cause damage ANB - useless Based on this in-depth analysis, ANB goes
  2. Generous assessment of May, he was ordinary tonight.
  3. Not me, but at one of our games on the Gold Coast my dad ran into all the umpires in the foyer of the hotel. Dad introduced himself and the umpires ended up gave him a ride to the ground in their mini bus ?
  4. Never forget Derm's all time classic of suggesting David Wirrapunda wouldn't like playing in cold weather (apparently in Dermie's world all indigenous players come from the desert). Someone had to tell him Wirrapunda is from Healesville ?
  5. Last night was bearable because Taylor the [censored] was absent. He doesn't know the rules or the players. And he's not funny. I particularly enjoy his medical speculations regarding injury. Classic example - when he suggested the GPS tracker in the jumper may've caused in injury. And he seems anally fixated...if I hear him mention hemorrhoid cream one more time I will lose it.
  6. Let's be real though - would a club like Collingwood risk going for an untried senior coach like Yze or throw their considerable resources at Clarkson? I just can't see Collingwood taking a risk on someone untried, however talented they are.
  7. You're all a lot less jaded than I am. I'm currently here
  8. We cannot expect to win games when we’ve got players in the forward line contributing nothing. Spargo, Pickett & ANB all did nothing today. Unfortunately the gap between their best and their worst is massive.
  9. Harmes has his positives but has to be one of the dumbest footballers alive
  10. THIS It really grinds my gears that the 'big' Victorian clubs have been protected from playing down there for years while we have to front up every year. The argument about crowd size is void because barely anyone non-Geelong can get in down there. Geelong gets an armchair ride and the big clubs get protected from playing at a ground where the home team have an obvious advantage. Imagine scheduling Richmond to play down there. If Hardwick the germ can't handle Docklands his head would explode at the thought of the hour drive.
  11. I was at the ground and in my area it was about three Essendon supporters for every Demon. Within the first five minutes they were squealing and it only got worse. Too me it was over the top but consistent for the Essendon crowd over the last 30 years. They are supreme whingers.
  12. The AFL are the ones meddling with the rules and constantly forcing the umpires to change their interpretation of said rules. Yet the AFL don't want to invest in making the umpires professionals. Moral of the story - who would want to be an umpire.
  13. So proud of the club for this initiative and for our connection to Santa Teresa.
  14. I’m old school, Fristch should be dropped for his pathetic defensive efforts (and this issue isnt isolated to the Adelaide game) & general selfishness. Not sure he will be though. Jordon needs a spell. He’s been great but his output has been dropping & he needs a rest. But if Melksham’s foot is sore Jordon might stay in the side. And sadly, the man we all love, Jetta, is done.
  15. All the votes to Oliver. The second half was ridiculous. Insane. Thought Gawn & Trac made uncharacteristic mistakes but also think they are quality types who will take those mistakes and learn.
  16. And in all this hype about Kosi how come we don't hear more about how he's ridiculously good looking? ?
  17. What about changing the definition to 'reasonable prior opportunity'? It adds more grey but it gives the ball player an option to attempt win the ball and it allows for the tackler to be rewarded. Players like Martin already seem to get a longer buffer of 'reasonable prior' than the rest of the AFL - maybe open that version up to the rest of the players ?. Maybe the issue isn't the rule, it's the fact the interpretation of it keeps changing. The umpires have an impossible job.
  18. From his first game I've been in football love with Clarry. He's a gun and does not get enough credit from our supporters.
  19. Always defend the honour of women? Nah don’t love that. If men cared about the honour of ALL women maybe, but that’s not the case. Do we think Bolton or Rioli would step in if they saw some random girl being harassed? Not likely. This is about ownership. They should’ve just walked away.
  20. 8-0 and I still cannot get over the lack of love Oliver gets from the demonland crew. Loved Tmac & May’s game and impressed with Jordon.
  21. Don't forget Chad. They named their sons Kane and Chad ?
  22. Agree - Bailey was the victim of our hot mess of a board. He was treated badly.
  23. The way Howe left always left a bad taste. He was a sook who didn't want to play in the backline of a rubbish side and then was a jerk about a club that had given him a chance. Think of all the smashings someone like Colin Garland put up with, he had the fortitude to keep going. Of those who left in that era - Frawley, Rivers etc - I was wishing them well. But Howe acted like a clown.
  24. Same, it was right in front of my seats. We must be MCG neighbors ✌️
