What they're saying down at Punt Road
Goody's comments indicated much the same in the post game press conference. I've noticed our senior players don't whinge to the umpires like those of other clubs, e.g. Geelong, we just crack in harder on the next play to get the ball back. As a supporter this is the sort of behaviour I want to see. Things started to get a bit silly in the fourth, fines will be handed out on both sides for the melee, and Kozi will learn to be more humble in the future.

The Charlie Spargo Appreciation Thread
Love how he goes about it. His tackling is so good, he's smart with the ball and also keeps his feet. Watch the contest I think in the fourth where we stream down the wing and he streams into our 50, makes a contest, keeps his feet and then is awarded a free and goal for high contact from. The second player. In that contest if he went to ground then the two players would have ran it out. It is this sort of example that is why he, Neal Bullen and Pickett are so important to us.

Snow Joke
Embrace it, as others have said it's a much better stereotype than having no teeth and being on welfare. The majority of supporters from most clubs all come from pretty similar backgrounds and social status.

In fairness Lord Nev, it is difficult to spot the difference between a Beetoota article and the actual news. The recent article about the hit kids show Bluey not representing minority groups including dogs of colour and with disabilities.

Membership 2021
I reckon this is a good example of statistics being manipulated. I'd say rather than Melbourne signing up a higher proportion of supporters than any other club, it is more a case that for a long time we have not been relevant to the general public, and people that don't really support a team when surveyed answer with one of the big/well known clubs. Win a premiership and see the "supporter" numbers increase significantly, which men's nothing. The real gains are the 10-15k members who hadn't renewed their memberships over the past decade, and some ex Hawthorn and Geelong bandwagon supporters and potentially North and Carlton supporters who have had enough.

How many of the 80k are canine I ask?

Players Winning Percentage in the Red and Blue
Nathan Jones is hardly setting a good example when it comes to winning.

Training Ground?
Agree wholeheartedly with this Lord Nev. I will add that the MCG precinct is important to our clubs identity and being visible and in proximity to the MCG and Melbourne.

Robbo
He reminds me a bit of Donald Trump, in that he has the utmost conviction in what he is saying (regardless of whether he makes any sense) and his passion draws people into what he is saying (regardless of whether he makes any sense). I couldn't stand him while he defended Essendon's illegal doping program, but don't mind him now. I think he is alot more switched on than how he comes across (with spurring his words and coming across incoherently) and he does ask some good questions and make reasonable observations. I should also add that Trump is a toxic individual and I don't see Robbo in the same light at all.

He can run through Cochin instead

The Tom McDonald dilemma
I'd bring Weed in for Mitch Brown only. The following week v North we will probably need to find room for both Ben Brown and Fritsch, which will mean T-Mac and Fritsch alternating on the wing and will push out a mid-fielder. I think Luke Jackson has to play, he adds so much versatility to being able to move Gawn forward or back and is improving every week. Alternatively T-Mac would make an excellent option as a super sub.

Training Ground?
Jolimont seems the obvious proposal for mine and I agree that I don't think it has been ruled out.

Training Ground?
Is GB an East Melbourne resident who likes to walk his dogs around the park too? It all makes sense now, he and Misson working from the inside to thrawt the proposals from inside the club to keep their precious green space to wall their designer poodles. I bet Perty boy is in on it too.

Training Ground?
Well said Youngwilliam. I honestly don't see how a group of East Melbourne residents can have any significant influence. Sure they might make some noise but I'd think we simply drive the Jolimont proposition and work with the State Government and City of Melbourne to make sure it happens. Send Mark Williams around there to sort them out.

Fritsch Out for 2 Weeks with Fractured Hand
I wouldn't throw Petty, were already thin as it is on fit KPP's and as fun as it sounds to pick someone up and throw them somewhere it wouldn't be very fun of he landed awkwardly and was injured as a result.

Fritsch Out for 2 Weeks with Fractured Hand
Fear not brothers, this is good news. Time for Mitch Brown to kick 23 goals v Hawthorn and win by 187 points.

The Zac Merrett Thread
The idea isn't without Merrett.

Training Ground?
We are Melbourne, our home is in the MCG precinct and we shouldn't compromise because the decision will impact our club for the next 50+ years.

Ed Langdon on RSN (13/4/21)
I don't know chook, this all seems a bit sci-fi for me compared to running laps around the oval.

2021 Injury List
If he's going to be out for at least a few weeks then perhaps the club could investigate bonding adamantium to his bones, the same material used by Wolverine the fictional comic character.

POSTGAME: Rd 04 vs Geelong
There is only one error in this, replace "*Essendon were unable to play finals due to supplement saga" with "*Essendon were ineligible for finals due to sanctions issued for their illegal doping program throughout 2011 and 2012.".

I guess that's better than the dreaded 4-6 weeks.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - STEVEN MAY
Goodwin ruled this out in post match press conference. I reckon it is something to do with a) Tom's kicking b) Tom's kicking and C) Tom's kicking.
