  1. I'd play Pedo, it makes us less predictable and with Pedo playing every game as if it's his last will show the boys how it's done. Peace
  2. It looked pretty obvious that Clarry was focussed solely on the ball and brushed past him.
  3. This is horrible. The team look so flat and virtually no fight.
  4. Let's see how we respond in the second half. We can claw back 5 goals in the 3rd quarter if we play well. This isn't over yet.
  5. A tad dramatic. We have Port, North and Adelaide up next and a spare game v Essendon who look to be struggling. On tonight's form I reckon that's 4 wins which would make us 7-4. Hardly a disaster.
  6. The gap between Fitzys best... And worst... ... Is too far.
  7. I walk into this thread thinking there is some relevant news re Jesse Hogan and there is an entire page wasted discussing whether we should target Levi Casbault. Stage 3 restrictions are really taking their toll. Can I suggest we all watch and enjoy tomorrow night's game as what is shaping to be a fantastic contest regardless of result.
  8. Might have been because they didn't know if he'd miss any matches, so why broadcast a fractured cheek in case he was ok to play.
  9. Agree WJ. I honestly believe we are in a good spot to challenge this year. We travel well, have a well balanced and fit list, and are building some good form.
  10. Pretty impressive if we consider those above Trac and Max have played and extra game. Adjust for this and Trac is second and Maxy equal third.
  11. No changes for me. Really looking forward to Sunday. This is an opportunity to build on the last couple of weeks against a top side, while potentially securing a spot in the 8 with a game up our sleeve. So far we've lost to three top 8 sides (Richmond, Geelong and WCE), beaten 1 top 8 side (GCS) and Beaton two bottom 8 sides (Carlton and Hawthorn). We are playing our best footy in 18 months and have looked better each week. Dees!
  12. Looking forward to Oliver playing on Neale next weekend.
  13. Haha, too bad I don't gamble. Happy for us to play well ?
  14. Adonski, it goes to show that top draft picks are best used to recruit talent and class, not work rate. By all means screen the talent for attitude, and if work rate is not there than ask why not, but then back your culture to get the most out of each recruit.
  15. I can't stand Bruce. BT is good value, love his roaming BT segment, and even funnier that he did it at Rick Levers wedding.
  16. I'd like to see us play back men in our forward line so that when our mids bomb it in we can run the ball out instead of the opposition. Clarkson will never know what hit him and the game will be over before they known it.
  17. I'd back Burgess to get him up and firing. Look at the horror injuries that soccer players suffer routinely and the trainer's simply spray the stuff and the players are good to go. Still a no for me.
  18. Thanks A F, can you tell them that chookrat on Demonland says to get their [censored] together.
  19. A F, re stage 4 restrictions I cannot see these being applied outside of hotspot suburbs. At the moment regional Victoria, including Greater Geelong are not under stage 3 despite more active cases than a number of Melbourne Metro councils. I reckon we will see additional LGA's moved to stage 3 and stage 4 introduced in specific hotspot postcodes.
  20. I think that ultimately social media accounts need to be governed in a way that the authorities know exactly who each account belongs to. Personally I don't have an issue with my account reflecting my own identity but also understand that people may want an account name that doesn't publicly reveal their identity. I would think mandating such a Digital ID across all social media platforms would significantly reduce online bullying, hate speech and also go along way to preventing the use of fake accounts to influence elections.
  21. Very good. l also thought Lever while not prolific was very influential with some critical intercepts and contests that had he not marked/won would have almost certainly resulted in a goal. Re Viney I reckon skill wise he is quite a good, creative kick inside our forward 50 when he doesn't blaze away. Have a look at his turn and right foot chip to Track for our first goal. There were probably 3-4 examples of him taking contact, breaking free and then using his agility to find some space and kick beautifully into our forward 50 resulting in a goal.
  22. Praha very good that you adjusted for shorter quarters ?
  23. With all teams except Melbourne and Essendon playing 6 rounds we find ourselves 1 win and 8 - 12 goal margin out of the top 8. We have played 3 teams in the 8, as well as 9th and 11th placed including narrow losses to Geelong (3 points) and poor losses to WCE and Richmond (27 points). This weekend against GCS we were more composed in our forward half in what Wasa tight match that we held ascendency for the majority of the game against a plucky GCS. While there is plenty of work to do if we can show linear improvement in our ball movement over the next few weeks we will be in good form. We face Hawthorn this week and as long as we bring our contested brand and move the ball well then we should get the win. Dees!
  24. The police need to charge people who do this sort of thing. The social media platforms need to have a process to verify users identity, perhaps even using a mobile phone account, so that people can be identified and held to account.
