  1. My first posting for the season. I was there today unfortunately, and again the MFC team including coaches lost a game on our home turf that we should have won. This nonsense does untold damage to the brand we are trying to build. Membership will continue at a snails pace, sponsors will look closely at our weakness as an onfield team, and the media are just in the pounce position to give to us as a club. off field Jackson cannot do anymore, he is doing his level best. It's the mindset of players who STILL have no killer instinct as top teams do. they just screwed themselves up the bum yet again against a team rebuilding from interstate. I will watch them play as I do, but with no expectations now, I'm simply fatigued with the garbage rhetoric from the club. This club cannot handle expectations no matter who is coach. Poor poor result today, totally fed up.
  2. If you think 500K is not huge money in any context, then I suggest you spend time with a few billion less fortunate on this planet! Chris Dawes is not short of a dollar or 3
  3. I've seen and heard a lot of BS in my 50 odd years in this planet.....this frog poo by Champion Data is a Perfect example of wankernomics by the current generation of let's make it up as we go! and let's get plenty of suckers in to pay us for this poo. The way Champion Data are going ......all supporters will soon need a degree in Astrophysics to understand the BS they get paid to write about.
  4. In a word DOGPOO! who gives a fat fats knackersack about the drug cheats. They still have Anzac Day, and should be told to [censored] off for a Friday night game in opening round. I am sick of the media and AFL swooning fawning all about this club, they are the most arrogant and self entitled bunch of snakes in the competition.
  5. Have nothing against CD in a personal sense. He tried hard I'm sure, however in the end he was paid huge money for very little success as an individual at the MFC. Overrated and lucky to get that sort of money.
  6. Yes they have earnt their place, no arguments there. Raping clubs who develop young draftees and then getting them in their prime is a total different argument. NOT all power to them at the expense of the competition!
  7. This AFL Premier League scenario is getting closer to the real deal every year. To be honest this whole thing makes me sick and have had a gutful of players like Mitchell who have been developed by their clubs and then just walk out to where they wish. Omeara is another, GC has nurtured and taken care of him whilst he has bern injured. Then the [censored] just nominates his club of choice....and yes it's Hawthorn! All the young players walking from their clubs after 3-4 years and cherry picking the current flag favourites is devastating for the competition. Free agency is one thing, but clubs like Hawthorn are slowly killing off and raping the development work of lesser clubs. It's a poxy disgrace!
  8. Saw Billy Stretch running 400s at gosches this week. He is up early getting himself fit.
  9. I was at NM GF Breakfast, the banter throughout both crowd and guests about AFL creating GWS dynasty was very noticeable. I have no doubt GWS will win a flag before our Dee's do, and this will just peeve most of the heartland off. Cameron has been gifted a premiership quality team on a silver platter. On the other hand, Beveridge has built one in 2 years from committed and passionate players who worked their butts off for him. Cameron's coaching prowess will never be judged the same way. as for the Doggies - don't underestimate the influence of Macca on this list prior to Beveridge getting there.
  10. This must be the only country in the world that worships it's sports drug cheats!!! It's appalling by media in this country. It just make me sick to watch all this huge love in with drug cheats in the AFL. Where are the solid media who have the balls to call it for what it is.
  11. This thread has degenerated into a farce showing up some of DLs finest Shyte talkers. Please get another thread started with sensible debate.
  12. FWIW - here is my 2 bobs worth on this Hogan fella. The Melbourne Football Club has spent the past 3 years under Roos and Jackson together with the blood and sweat of numerous hard working people at the club, getting this club off the bottom of the ladder into a position to have a crack at finals. I have watched Hogan closely, at training and on game days. To be perfectly honest his body language is terrible and hardly looks like a team player. Perceptions can be meaningful and frankly he comes over as a me me me type! I hope Goody gives him a reality check before pre season. As for him and this poxy contract situation, word from the wise Jesse! Many an AFL champion from interstate has stuck fat with their football club and given back to the club who nurtured them. Hogan can be a legitimate champion of the game if he fixes some attitude adjustments. We want him to be a bonafide MFC hero, but if he is a me me me sook who wants to run home because he is homesick, then the club is better off without a sookie mummies boy. On the other hand, if he shows maturity and sticks fat with us, then thats excellent. I'm a bit fed up with players been drafted and then picking and choosing after 2 or 3 years to leave. It makes a mockery of the draft system, just look at what it did to the Lions. I want Hogan to stay, I don't want him to hold the club to ransom in 2017.
  13. It's an opinion site Nasher, people from all over the planet see things differently. Don't take the moral high ground buddy because your little power base let's you.
  14. Did you go to school PD? Is it not clear in my comments how I feel about 100 points smackings? To make it crystal clear just for you, I have done what I am going to do, I have made a comment on DL, as is my democratic right!
  15. VP - if you think a 100 plus point loss is excusable, you are a fair dinkum Knobber! Actually you deserve a spot in the AA Knobber team. It's the likes of you that annoy the Karp out of me with excusing putrid performances by this club. Unlike you I expect professionalism wether it's the first or last game. 22 players that tossed in the towel against Geelong need to mature very damn quickly. They appeared to want to get on the booze and have a party ....job done mentality. We will never ever win another flag with this immaturity. Don't give me nonsense excuses!!!!!
  16. Gawn...congratulations for stellar season. To me it s a sad reflection on our remaining senior players. Nathan Jones has never made the AA even in his best years. Sadly for NJ I think his ability is not AA, and he carries too much baggage from the bad old days. It also shows that all our mid tier senior players are also rans and not AA ability. We have too much inconsistency at the leadership level, and this must be a priority for 2017. the Farce of his AA team is Pendlebury! Given to him on a plate for an ordinary season. The selectors let themselves down with such nonsense, this is just BS that he deserves a spot in this years team.
  17. Eagles again! I hope a depleted Bulldogs run them into the ground. Getting sick to death of seeing Eagles, Geelong, Hawthorn and Sydney in finals. AFL is now the Premier League of Australia....same damn teams every year.
  18. Geelong at MCG...FFS Eagles at MCG FFS Last round at MCG FFS
  19. For mine, obviously 10 wins is a tick in the improvement box. Some good wins. Hunt, Petracca, Oliver, OMac the standouts for future. Max Gawn, excellent season. Viney, great season. Hogan , 40 goals. Ho hum season. Body language and kicking needs addressing. overall a good year for this club. 2017 - 12-14 games a pass, if no serious injuries to key players. Final word - Need to win against Saints, Eagles. drop games to bombers and sides well below us are totally unacceptable As for Round 23 2016 - From a supporters viewpoint, it looked to me as if this group just wanted to go on the booze and hang up the boots. Atrocious even for the last game putting aside insult to their coach. Leadership must improve for this team to get into the 8. I have serious doubts if Jonesy is the man to take us into the new era as skipper.
  20. Clearly got ahead of themselves. Clearly need to work harder, clearly need new leaders on field without baggage. Still have reputation as soft when the tough get going. Geelong, Sydney, Eagles, Hawthorn just to name a few are not soft and don't drink their own bath water.
  21. Well well well! What a great send off by our playing group to Paul Roos! As good as Nathan Jones has been for this club, I think his leadership is done. Not singling him out, but we as a club continue to have a pea hearted under belly and mental fragility like no other club in the AFL. Jonesy and the leadership group just tossed in the towel, and that cannot be tolerated anymore. This club still cannot shake it's pea hearted tag and won't until a leadership group is put together who have no fragile baggage. Jonesy has baggage and sadly shows it too many times. Goodwins reputation will depend on who he decides leads this team over the next 3 years. What a total inept Knobber of a performance to finish the season.
  22. I've had a guts full already of this garbage. Big thanks to Paul Roos. our midfield 2 weeks of Shyte. over to you Goodwin, you have your work ahead of you total disrespect to the club by players
  23. Pea hearted weak as ......Sick of these turnovers. Just blaze away into forward line. Dum dumb football
  24. A putrid disgusting lot of dog poo by this group. Screw this mob...no effort no care no pride!!!!! thanks Roosy...but as for this end of season it is putrid. Players have nothing to give...it's disgusting
