  1. So Carlton only have to get close and it’s a touched ball on the goal line unbelievable
  2. Comedy gold from the score review again Swans goal called no obvious touch - called behind what a joke
  3. Mentally is Grundy still a Demon or has he already checked out of the building? I suspect he has at least one foot out the door as he is meeting other clubs while we ae still playing finals. We saw how effective Jackson was after his mind left to go west. Tomlinson can't compete with any big forward that has a) speed or b) can jump more than 5 cm off the ground so not sure he gets a game unless there is a specific match up that suits - I can't think of one in either Carlton or Sydney (which is the reason Turner played in Sydney) JVR shouldn't be suspended but we always seem to be on the wrong side of the Tribunal Laurie isn't ready for the heat of finals - I'd also say Chandler would be very lucky to retain his spot - personally prefer Spargo who while not a big possession getter is one of our best and most creative users inside F50 - something we are poor at atm. We lost this game because despite having almost double the number of F50 entries we continue to hack the ball in high and slow - unless we wake up and address that we are going to lose most games, particularly finals. Our efficiency inside F50 of 33% last night is really embarrassing and some real soul searching needs to happen very quickly.
  4. Oh - a bit like the Petracca goal that the Carlton player clipped the ball on the goal line Sorry I forgot there seems to be different rules / standards applicable to whoever is the AFL darlings JVR had his elbow tucked when he contacted McFlop - nothing to it - if it was a Daicos or Cripps it wouldn't even get a mention
  5. I don’t get why people think JVR will get suspended that sort of clash happens dozens of times in a final like this - no malice , elbow not high, don’t think he even hit him directly in the head , no injury Compare that with Maynard who according to some people has no case to answer Strange
  6. Interesting Dees now favourite on Sportsbet
  7. Really annoying that Jeremy Howe feels the need to chip in with [censored] commentary about how we have mistreated his mate Brodie I would love nothing more than someone running through him (in a fair but brutal fashion) during the QF
  8. If we have a forward in mind we may need a decent pick from a Grundy trade to help make that work
  9. Probably would have run back home to Perth at the first opportunity
  10. What’s the go with the fingernails ???
  11. What do port have to facilitate a trade ?
  12. Agree - the second half wasn't too bad either - the only reason they got in front was a cheap free to Ash Johnson who kicked 4 for the game We kick straighter we probably win that game.
  13. Carlton has had so much "luck" at the Tribunal that I think it's fair to say now that "luck" plays no part in these decisions.
  14. Whoever, plays on Moore has to stop or limit his intercept marking and run. Not an easy task mind you as he is very good at both. From an athleticism point of view, I'd be leaning toward Smith but if TMac is moving well perhaps he's the other option they will use.
  15. They do seem to have an air of confidence about them that their best is good enough. Even during the third quarter it never really felt the Swans would put too big a gap on us - like most games they had momentum and were getting their hands on the ball. Once we arrested the momentum its was largely one way traffic. Blown away by how skilled Fritta is - it was a joy to watch him live sinking daggers into the Swans from half chances that most other players would have butchered - he really is one of the most under rated players in the competition IMO. The only slight let down in the game was that the whole playing group didn't get over to the Dees fans in bay 2 after the game - not sure why because they would have received a stirring reception.
  16. I relocated from Melbourne also - tbh I've had my fair share of downthesinkacinnos there too - glad to hear you have managed to find an acceptable brew in Sydney.
  17. Keep him away from the harbour, the beaches and the weather - the coffee is fine in Sydney btw
  18. If he identifies as a Victorian and is accepted by us as a Victorian, then that's good enough, right?
  19. So, in the scenario I referred to you'd push JVR into the main ruck role? Not my preference
  20. I'm wondering who we think is our ruck back up should Grundy go and Max gets an injury. For me the cupboard would be well and truly bare - Schache isn't really up to it IMO and Verrall whilst showing potential is not ready and may not be for some time. If Grundy is going, I hope we are seriously looking at another ruck who can compete with the big boys.
  21. Thought he was a right footer ?
  22. Maybe - is he better than either of Petty or Joel Smith? Will Jefferson be better in 2 years? If we were talking about Larkey, McKay, Lynch or Allen I can see the appeal and clear point of difference of the taller player but for Georgiades I'm not so sure. Ultimately, I suppose it comes down to cost - if he isn't costing the earth then maybe worth a punt. He does have good hands I will give him that.
