  1. I’ve only watched one full game and some highlights but I think he could - I really think he could be like Bont or Dawson (tall mids) that are good overhead and can hit the scoreboard
  2. I think he could be our version of a taller Heeney or Jordan Dawson He could play most positions other than ruck and I seriously hope JT has a target on his back
  3. I had high hopes for Verrall early days but I’m not sure he has the mobility required to impact in the same way LJ does - could just be that he needs to build a better fitness base - I guess we will see this season if he progresses or stagnates Kentfield is the one that has the size and the aggression required to be a key forward - does he have the skills and football IQ to match ? Hopefully he can surprise us all.
  4. Agree but I really have doubts on Armstrong. Looking at the limited vision available online he reminds me of Jefferson or Weid. (Glass half empty view) There are hints of Cadman and JUH (glass half full view) but I think he is smaller than both so I question if he is big enough to impact at AFL senior level
  5. Anyone else think this bloke looks a tad like Gus? I’d be happy if we get Langford and Tauru btw
  6. Tend to agree Assume Collingwoods gap was a shortage of DHs ?
  7. His disposal efficiency looks good , runs hard, good size Not a bad option but still prefer Tauru is available
  8. I guess the question is if Wade still can’t crack it for a game in the seniors and his form in the 2s is just ok will we still have interest?
  9. Hopefully but I’m not the only one that has serious concerns about Jefferson’s lack of intensity - and if we can believe one poster here that concern might be shared by an assistant coach
  10. From MFC mid September MELBOURNE has locked in a quintet of young talent, with Andy Moniz-Wakefield, Kynan Brown, Will Verrall, Oliver Sestan and Luker Kentfield all signing new deals with the club. The five players put pen to paper this week, extending their time in the red and blue until at least the end of 2025.
  11. I agree that Tauru at 9 if available would be great Armstrong looks like another Jefferson to me so it’s a big no imo
  12. Big fan of Tauru - Big no from me on Armstrong (looks like another Weed or Jefferson) to me
  13. Hope Eth-dog is barking up the wrong tree 🐕 🌲
  14. Jefferson has 0 games Would him going be no loss for you ? I’m not that fussed about not getting Wade but the 0 games is a bit tough
  15. The assistant coach is spot on imo. It does make you wonder why all three were recruited when being highly competitive is kind of non-negotiable to succeed at the highest level. It's also why when I look at a draft prospect like Armstrong I don't get the fierce competitor vibe. Tarau on the other hand looks to have it in spades
  16. No you’re not in trouble and I share you’re concerns
  17. That’s why I’m hoping we take Tarau if available at pick 9 huge potential and could play multiple positions including forward
  18. I would have put Jefferson on the plane with Trac to do some hard training at Red Bull - I know that’s not how it works but he does need to up his intensity big time
  19. I agree that Tarau looks a bit like a tall Heeney - at first I thought it was just the hair but he certainly does have some similar characteristics - he is so mobile I see no reason why he couldn’t ultimately play multiple positions including midfield. He is also not worried about a bit of physicality which is great. Really hoping we can grab him with either pick
  20. Houston to Carlton for pick 3 and a future first now I guess
  21. I’d be disappointed if we don’t hold 5&9 in what seems to be an even draft at the top end It’s not like there are a couple of Harley Reid’s available that would justify trying to push higher up the draft board
  22. Clearly forgotten how good he was in 2021 He will be back once he gets a good run with injury and his confidence returns He is definitely AFL quality imo
  23. You would assume our interest in Sharp is to 1. allow midfield rotations for Windsor or 2. use his speed and running capacity to replace the HFF role that nibbler did effectively
