Was always a fan of Todd's. Whatever he supposedly has or has not done correctly, he was still a great player and contributor to our club. The big plus is he fathered Jack! I will be watching tonight.

Just got back from the game. I thought we were OK in the first half but the final quarter was terrible. Freemantle were just bigger, more confident with their disposal and played smarter football. I also agree with the above posters - the umpiring was shocking. I think Freemantle will be hard to beat this year.

I am rolling around laughing. Poor Bernie - I love him even more now!!

It is May 1st and I have been practicing mindfulness as part of my yoga training. Each month we focus on a different emotion and try to modify our thought process in relation to this emotion. This month we focus on compassion (to ourselves and others) and it is only 9 hours into the month and I am struggling with my first challenge thanks to MC. Damm you - I was doing so well.

Amen to that.

I wish Colin all the best. I still remember him fondly. He helped my close friend's son get through a serious teenage crisis as a mentor through the Reach program. This boy is now a fine upstanding 22 year old who credits Col for helping him at one of life's major crossroads when he was a sixteen year old. Just thought I would throw in a different perspective.

He is definitely a tough nut. I really have enjoyed watching him play. Seems to show no fear and adds that extra toughness we have been lacking in the past. Wishing him a speedy and unevenfulful recovery.

I thought it was fantastic. I didn't even realise that the players had come out and were lined up. I couldn't take my eyes off the beautiful horse and flame. I was not distracted by anything including the lights. I really hope this becomes a permanent fixture. I thought it was done really well.

Just finished watching the replay - an absolutely terrible decision. That stupid umpire should be banished to the country league next week.

I enjoy beating Richmond more than any other team.

Just got home from the game - bloody brilliant. So proud of the boys. I enjoyed the whole experience. Had a cry when Ron held up the flame, sang the national anthem with gusto,screamed my lungs out, watched the Richmond supporters leave in droves and listened to the Richmond supporters ring in to the radio threatening to microwave their memberships on the way home. Great start to the weekend. The umpiring was terrible but the biggest laugh was listening to Hardwick saying Richmond "could beat anyone". He is in la - la land. We were fantastic - they were pathetic and soft. Just setting Foxtel to record the game so I can watch it tomorrow. Go Dees ❤️

That sounds like it will be a moving experience. I will definitely be there with my family. I usually avoid Friday night footy as its the end of the working week and its a rush to get there etc, etc but for this occasion I will make an exception. Go Dees.

I loved the hard tackling and that Bernie got in Dangerfield's face and really ruffled him. What a complete sooky la-la Dangerfield is. The Adelaide coach lacks quite a bit of finesse in the public speaking arena - needs a few lessons from the super composed Paul Roos. I was proud of our boys yesterday. They were tough conditions with a feral crowd, pathetic crowd influenced umpiring and some missed opportunities. I am looking forward to Friday night. Bernie is officially my favourite player.
