That is great news. I love his toughness - its been a bit lacking at the Dees in past years but I am loving the extra grunt that guys like Vanders brings to the table. Never stops trying. Great signing.

She also said Jack desperately wants to be a one team player and bleeds red and blue. He has a lovely girlfriend in Melbourne so hopefully will not be going anywhere except with us. She said he is pedantic about his diet, exercise, rehab and is in the right head space to make a fantastic come back round one 2016. This news warmed my heart.

I was talking to a close family member of Jack's yesterday. She told me that he is fighting fit, has put his heart and soul into rehab and whilst he might be ready to come back before the season's end, he will definitely be ready to go round one 2016.

I practice mindful meditation and during my session yesterday we were asked to be thankful for something in our lives and to open our hearts with loving kindness and extend compassion to anyone in need. I extend my compassion and condolences to the Walsh family, the Adelaide Football Club, their supporters and the football community in general. My heart goes out to all of those who have been affected by this tragedy. I am so sorry for your pain and loss but rest assured, thoughts and prayers are being sent your way.

I feel physically sick. I was on my way to work when my husband rang and told me. I feel for everyone involved - its tragic. There is no way those players could get out there on Sunday and nor should they be expected to.

My daughter went - it is just down the road from us so she was rapt. She had a great time and said the players were very accommodating with the fans. The BBQ was great too. I drove past at about 6.30 and it looked like there were loads of people there. Well done MFC.
