  1. Yes to both. His only fault is who he chose to support - otherwise he is perfect!
  2. Nah - he is a keeper. Happily accepts his MFC membership each year as his Christmas present and often tags along to the Dees game with me. I cannot really complain. He even went into Rebel Sport today and got my daughter a number 7 to iron onto the back of her Melbourne jumper. He is not your usual Collingwood supporter!!
  3. I'm still smiling - I watched the replay yesterday and in part again today. I have threatened anyone in my household who dares to suggest that they will delete it. Happy to be back to work tomorrow to discuss the weekend football with my usually smug Essendon and Geelong supporter work mates!
  4. My niece who is a Hawks supporter was at the game. She sent me a text saying she was booing MC and the guy next to her kept screaming out that MC owed the Dees money!
  5. I loved the bells tolling and the ACDC song - my hairs were standing up on end. Every supporter around me was going crazy. I thought it was all great.
  6. You are correct. I couldnt take my eyes off HL. Watts came in pretty quickly as well. Great stuff.
  7. Just watching the replay now I've had a big lunch and done the Easter/family thing.Kent went down so hard but is such a tough nut. Love the way Frost and HL went straight in - HL was really, really angry. Getting a very different vibe already compared to previous seasons. I'm loving the replay.
  8. I agree - read the article over breakfast.
  9. This was a tough one 6. Tom Mc 5. Nathan Jones 4. Jack Watts 3. Jack Viney 2. Jeff Gartlett 1. Colin Garland And a big thumbs up for the recruiters.
  10. I had the best day - hardly any voice left but it was bloody brilliant. So happy ❤️
  11. I am a combination of excited and nervous. Rapt to be here today at the G.

My husband did - he married me!! And he will be there with me tomorrow at the G.
  13. My friends son was involved in the Reach Program and Col Garland was a mentor. This young guy said Col was a top bloke, related really well to the trouble young teens and went way and beyond the call of duty. I think he is generally shy but has been very pleasant the few times I have spoken to him.
  14. I went with my daughter and had a great time. Really enjoyed chatting with Jack Watts - he is so lovely. Also met Sam Frost - he is a lovely humble guy as well. Had lots of photos with many of the guys and they were all so obliging. The best thing for me was that my daughter, who for the past 10 or so years claimed to be a Collingwood supporter has finally seen the light and took out a Melbourne membership today. She has finally seen the light and I have welcomed her back to the fold!
  15. I believe he will still be hampered with foot injuries. His sort of injury will continue to flare up and give him grief. I had a not too similar foot injury and surgery about 4-5 years ago. I did all of the appropriate rehab, gave up running, netball, tennis and high heels! My surgeon told me that foot injuries continue to be problematic and I can vouch for that. This surgeon looks after a lot of AFL players and is very well known. I doubt MC will last the distance when serious footy begins.
  16. Cmon Dees. I'm watching this game with two Collingwood supporters who won't shut up. Like the look of Newton too.
  17. I have been taking my own food to the footy for years. As a vegetarian, I do not have much choice but don't eat junk food anyway. The only exception for me is a hot jam donut.
  18. I 100% agree with you. I have had a talk to my family and two kids and made my wishes known. All the best to you and your daughter. She must be a fighter.
  19. Oh no - I just heard the news. My heart is breaking.
