  1. I cannot get this song out of my head now I've read this thread...... Having flashbacks of my year 11 choral competition..... Very painful.
  2. I have just been to see the new Woody Allen movie - "Magic in the Moonlight". I really enjoyed it. Was witty, kind of cute and I enjoyed Colin Firth and Emma Stone's bantering. Whilst the age difference seemed a bit much from a romantic point of view, It was quite OK. Jackie Weaver also has a small role. I was not a fan of Woody Allen's earlier movies but I did like "Midnight in Paris" and "Blue Jasmine" so I am warming to him.
  3. Well I was always a fan and it feels strange to think this was the last time I will most likely see him in the red and blue. Just being a bit sentimental that's all.....
  4. Was a bit weird seeing Frawley slink off the ground with his head down.
  5. I officially do not give a dam about the 2014 footy season from now.
  6. Well that's it then. Could have been worse. At least it was entertaining in parts.
  7. I expect lots of the same - North are not much chop!
  8. Brad Scott's face is driving me crazy - does the man ever look happy!
  9. BBO - I definitely need therapy regarding this - I tend to hold onto things. My husband also wanted to see Collingwood play that night and if memory serves me correct, they lost as well.
  10. You give away great seats to a Bruce Springstein concert so you do not miss round 1 (2013 Melbourne vs Port Adelaide).
  11. The other movie that I am excited about seeing is "Boyhood". It was shot over 12 years with the same cast and is basically about childhood. Apparently it is the only movie ever made over such a long period and has got rave reviews.
  12. I agree with Jazza. I saw the 100 Foot Journey last night and loved it. Done by the same crew who did Chocolat ( which I also loved). It was a real feel good movie, set in a pretty French town with a great cast. Was foot tapping to the Bollywood music!! They were showing previews for the sequel to 'The most exotic Marigold Hotel' which looks great. Looking forward to Gone Girl next. I have just finished reading the book - a true thriller.
  13. I have just finished watching the replay as I was out last night. 6.Vince 5.Jones, N 4. Cross 3. Howe 2.Bail 1. Tyson
  14. That is just so sad for the little guy. I used to take my kids to the footy at that age decked out in their Melbourne gear - and we were winning more games then. But poor performance and peer pressure won in the end. They both now follow other teams. I am the last family member standing who is a Dees supporter. It's sad as when I was six, my entire family were Dee supporters. We are a dying breed.
  15. I think I need to go back to Italy and light a few more candles .... Maybe pray for a priority pick this time.
  16. Just come out of the movies and we were 53 points down in the second quarter when I had a sneaky look. At least we haven't capitulated....

    Booing

Well I personally would never boo my team. When I think of supporters booing their team I immediately think of Richmond supporters and do not want to be tarnished with their brush. I was disappointed, sad, despondent - yes but I will still never boo my team. I heard from someone who works at the club that there was a player sponsor function on after the game and not many people turned up - that's is sad. The players know how the supporters feel.
  18. I loved the Rev. Bawled like a baby the last game he coached us against Essendon. Rev - your era of coaching bought me hope and many thrills. I don't have much of that at present. Sending my prayers and best wishes to you and your family as you face this challenge ahead. Such a likable, friendly guy - this news breaks my heart.
  19. I'm struggling but I want to do this now and just hope I am in a bad dream and about to wake up and today just did not happen. 6. N Jones 5. N Jetta 4. Dom Tyson 3.Max Gawn 2. J Viney 1. J Howe
