Ok, this a tricky question ...and Im a huge Oliver fan....but do we just rest him now with 25 in sight? Let him heal that hand and get stuck into the fitness work ahead of time. Or will that create the wrong kind of headlines and put him under more pressure? Im just struggling to see the true champion that he was (and I believe will be again) perform in this way... I cant believe this is good for him now...he's cooked. I pray for the day that he can run past butters after kicking a brilliant goal and give him back the mouthful he deserves.

great effort by the boys. Billing’s and Tholstrup terrible misses … you can’t afford that in close games.

I almost don’t want to comment because he’s both a playing great and the best captain in my time as a supporter. Personally I think he has 1 more year. But at a push, we have CP? Viney? and prob the top pick Lever. But… it hurts to even think about it.

Haven't given up on Mcadam. Seems like his Hamstring was more major than minor...could be better next year. Fingers crossed.

Im all in favour of a game before the seasons end but imo thats all he's physically ready for...ie give him a taste to get him invested in having the pre season of his life.

We are now a very young Injury ravaged team playing arguably the worst footy in the comp. It’s been hard to watch how far they’ve fallen in 24. Hopefully they can rebound next year but I guess there’s no guarantees is there.

I think the body shape needed for a ruck may have changed with the new rules. If we’re looking to add a replacement ruckman then maybe we need to look at a big bodied boofhead ruck. They seem like valuable property now. Briggs and Xerri have both got the better of Max.

Interesting that the brain dead commentators still saying “ what could he do… he was in the air” despite the fact he absolutely changed everything about the type of connection he was about to make while in the air! yep.. that tribunal call still makes me furious.

Crazy day…. a great demon memory that one. He kicked 9 after half time! He didn’t come bk on until about 5 mins into the third when Beams broke his wrist. 9 straight and then he missed one. 9.1

I think it depends on where we see our list doesn’t it DJ? I mean are we challenging now? Remembering we’re probably in the last 2 years of maximus and possibly May. Plus as importantly , do they think oliver and trac return at close to full rat power? or not? If the answer to either of those questions is no then we don’t trade away picks fr a 27 year old. . If it’s yes on both scores then surely we prob do?

This reminds me of the hoo haa when we got lever. which went on all the way until we won a flag. No one bats an eye at that deal now.
