Farewell Christian Petracca
In a very weak draft...its just hard to get excited.

Farewell Christian Petracca
Depressing but probably the truth.

Bailey Humphrey
He’s inheriting this mess and trying to clean it up. So we can’t hold these losses against him. Plus as far as I can see he’s really only 0–1 . Judds loss feels the largest in terms of building.

Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
Too early for me but I do remember when Wells left…and I had hand sewn 11 ( badly) onto the back of my jumper as a 10 year old. He told me it was crooked at training one day and I almost threw it away afterwards . So fair to say I struggled for a couple of years when he left. It’s an emotional game and our connections with players are weirdly deep. Goody, Trac, Oliver and May is a decent sized divorce isn’t it. That being said, you survived Barassi you’ll survive this…cause you love the dees. I don’t always like your posts lol but you’re a big part of the site. Hang in… let’s see how it pans out.

Wade Derksen
We now have a new coach who sees the game differently. We'd be a joke if we went through the process of sacking Goody and appointing a new coach and then trade for a player he doesn't want! If we changed our mind lets trust the process before bagging the club.

THANK YOU FROM DEMONLAND
Big thank you to Andy and the team! Coming here and listening to the podcasts is a source of sanity ( except when it’s not! ) Life would be so much poorer without you all.

Christian Petracca and Clayton Oliver in 2026
He is at least exploring with a number of clubs hopefully allowing us to get the best deal. hes hard to say goodbye to as he personified the 21 flag but hes going about it the right way this year.

Training Ground?
Agreed. But the fact that is hasn't been means something must be holding things up?

i think an element in this may be that Trac and Gus were best mates and he also grew up playing footy with Oliver. Gus’s career went down in a terrible way and the dees were shown up as too small a club to disrupt the disgraceful collingwood media bias. And he no doubt watched Oliver disappearing into wherever he went without the club intervening. Of course he then has a life threatening injury that no doubt makes him re consider everything. So… between one thing and another Trac wants to get away and not lead the club out. It ultimately says as much about him as us imo. King has his work cut out for this team to start gelling again. I hope he’s got it in him.

Farewell Judd McVee
I know a certain poster with a good track record that will breathe a bit easier tonight lol

Robbie Flower
So much to say about Robbie. Most of it has been said above. But to add one more thing I loved about him. When so many teams were thrashing us and making us look like an ongoing rabble, he would without fail annihilate his opponents and leave them either grasping at air or be out paced or easily sidestepped or he’d just sit on their shoulder and take screamers. Our brightest star came in our darkest years.

Media Madness
well the nickname “ the brand” started up then didn’t it?

Bassett leaves the Dees

well reasoned…. i just hope your wrong!

Melbourne Football Club - The CEO
I think there's a question mark on this statement. We lost ...was it 8 games? .. by under 13 points this year. Including 3 of the last 5 by 6 points. We also dropped shockers to the Bombers and Roos. Trac was in his first year back post an horrific injury and Oliver is just beginning to pick up his peak fitness. I don't know about Lever and May but if they also returned to something approaching full fitness I don't think we're thaaat far away. The truth will be exposed in 26 but Im not without hope that our list is still very good. Our depth is poor I admit.

I know little of how clubs go about recruiting players from other clubs but surely a thorough medical is part of it. ie We would do full due diligence re his back injury wouldn’t we?

Welcome to Demonland: Steven King
I don’t think we’ll be hearing much of this til the Cats season is finished. Doesn’t mean there’s not a lot of work going on behind the scenes though.

Welcome to Demonland: Steven King
intersting indeed. your opinion or information?

Welcome to Demonland: Steven King
Coming around to believing we have THE best man for the job. I really applaud the club for doing this process fully. Despite the dribble from the usual media ratbags I saw a professional club in action. The only question mark I have is that his family has moved to the gold coast I believe? I read somewhere he stayed to see if he could land the job. Coaching is one of the highest pressure positions you can have…anyone with any info at all re how he can make this work with his family?

Who Will Be Our Next Coach?
No offence Ted but if your still bothering to read or see anything Caro has to say about the club you're a glutton for punishment. When was the last time she said anything positive about us? IF we kept goodwin and sacked him at years end and had no time to get a new coach before trade week, she would also have laid into us about that too.

Training Ground?
It’s hard to believe this really might be happening! Not sure we’d have ”the best” training facilities would we ? I mean certainly in the upper echelon I’d be hoping but there’s some big clubs out there.

Jimmy Bartel
For some reason your post has come up empty? Are we trying to get him?

Farewell Jayden Hunt
Congratulations Jaydn. 172 games is a long and fine career. Always liked him at the dees. So close to having a premiership medallion.
