Training Ground?
so…. all good so far but the “ business case” , which is surely the main part, we now will wait on til mid 25 to see if it can go ahead? Anyone with a little more knowledge on these things want to try interpreting this?

Training Ground?
is that a hint?

Jack Macrae
Let’s say Trac doesn’t get bk to playing on ball in 25. For arguments sake let’s also say Oliver and or Viney miss a chunk of games. Both scenarios seem more likely than not. Plus, while Rivers was a great addition, we also missed him off half back… and it might be better for our overall balance if he wasnt mainly an on baller. Given all of this is Macrea a decent choice?

Training Ground?
thank you… and fingers crossed! I’ve wanted a home base almost as much as a premiership most of my 50 plus years of being a supporter.

Carlton have had a shot ton of injuries and sacked their fitness boss. So perhaps they realise it’s on them. If his injuries were manageable / improvable he’d certainly be a good pick up.

Former MFC President Joe Gutnick calls to make club-shaking moves
All 4 finals we could or should have won. Bad kicking for goal was what cost us... Goody cant take their shots for them. The game plan provided the opportunities. Hinkley has been slaughtered consistently in finals...if that was the Dees Id be thinking differently.

Time to go Goody?
If we sacked goodwin can u imagine the media pile on .. club in crises … stories. They WANT us to sack him to keep running with this sh@tfull narrative. “Dees sack premiership coach” Do its Def a no from me… fr many reasons ( 3 x top 4 finishes and a flag fr one) but feeding the never ending media narrative is another one of many not to do this.

No way! He's so injured these days...he prob gets an early 2nd rounder.

Christian Petracca
Are you implying that Petracca created the troubles? or just noting that his public stance on them has created a lot of necessary movement.

Pert and Roffey - The Review Thread
I think at this stage the external review is the only thing that might clear the slate for a fresh beginning. Hoping it gets done well and helps bring the club back together.

AFLW GAMEDAY: Rd 01 vs Geelong
Great win. Gutsy and hard fought between 2 v good sides, also great ball movement.

Trac was very well loved and will be again. You and I don’t know that he wasn’t speaking for many others at the club with the issues he was raising. So I think relationships will mend… perhaps even deepen. One thing about Trac is he’s an absolute professional in the way he prepares. Guys like him are hard to find and give younger players an example. Whatever he was pointing at I hope will be addressed properly. The Club had a massive scare here… perhaps it will work in our favour. I don’t expect him to be back to his best until late in 2025…but lets all get behind him.

Garry Lyon for MFC President
what’s your thoughts on this? On the surface, and that’s all I have access to, it seems necessary.

A giant of the game in every way imaginable. And truly a good bloke too…, we’re lucky to have him.

Im not sure. cant agree with that re Brayshaw. Then 2022 was messed up by going too hard for too long and not easing into the season rather than complacency. Oliver is another thing … although I thought we do ok this year w him. maybe we left it too long. If trac hadn’t nearly died would this trade even be being talked about? I’m sure some of this is on the club but not all.- Christian Petracca
If I eat these words I promise you they’ll be the sweetest words I’ve ever eaten and there will be no happier person than me doing so. It does feel like an era has closed…in a terrible way… but if we can genuinely open a new one i’d be stoked.- Christian Petracca
I remember the off season when schwarz did his knee and soon after we lost charles and jakovich permenantly . lyon hurt his back and Tingay cut his leg so badly on a glass door he was never the same. It felt utterly calamitous and the dream was over. This has got the same sour , bitter, sad feeling re Brayshaw, Oliver and Trac . I’m starting to brace myself.- Christian Petracca
trouble is when things get to this point that rarely happens.- Christian Petracca
I think Trac will play very little football in 25 if he plays at all but he also has probably 4-6 years left as an elite player. I think any club with a window bigger than a year would take him in a heart beat.- Christian Petracca
yeah I think this is the best or most realistic albeit super sad conclusion - Christian Petracca
