Despite the latest rumours about Saints opting for McCartin at Pick 1.. After watching this Petracca highlights package.. I can't fathom how the Saints could possibly overlook this future superstar. This kid will be a goal kicking midfield brute. I'm not buying into all this "late mail" until I hear the name called out tonight.

I'm normally a very optimistic Melbourne supporter.. But unfortunately I just can't see any big improvements next year on the back of this trade period so far.. Looking at this years ladder.. GWS finished with 2 more wins above us.. they have added Griffen, Patfull and have a handful of picks in the top 10 to go with their current list of guns. Then above them? Brisbane.. who arguably now has one of the top 3 midfields in the comp. The gap between them and us IMO will grow and we will be lucky to hold off Saints for 17th spot end of next year. The thing that worries me most, is keeping current players in the red and blue & making it an attractive destination for free agents.. We need to start winning and climbing up the ladder.. I just can't see it happening.

I reckon its a great idea. Tim Membrey will be a gun! & Reid is only 22 yrs old. IMO he has talent and can take a mark in the dukes! (unlike Dawesy) And an injection of bloods culture is priceless.

In Mark Neeld's first year, mentioned early that there was a falling out between Stef Martin, Moloney and Neeld. Said that both were going to be traded at years end. Secondly, mentioned that Mark Neeld was going to be sacked before the end of last year. And thirdly, said that we could lock in Roos as our next coach towards the end of last season.

My source (who has been right about everything thus far) has informed me that melbourne will be targeting Brett Ratten as Roos' successor.

Late last year, I ran into Pedo on my lunch break in Bayswater.. Asked for a photo, he looked shocked that someone recognised him. Told him I'm a mad melbourne supporter and that I loved his work (which may have been stretching the truth a tad at the time) .. I think I may have blown a bit of wind into his sails, along with the Roos effect. Its so good to see him turn it around! I can start showing off the photo with pride

1. 9/10 - There was a bit of play late in the last quarter of the richmond game, where he dived for the ball against deledio, a 2nd richmond player jumped in to tackle. He collected the ball, basically lifted these 2 blokes off the ground as he got to his feet and got boot to ball to a teammate out from the congestion. The bloke is a star. I haven't even seen Ablett do anything like that before. Not saying he is as good as Ablett, but easily an A grader and better than the likes of M.Murphy, T.Cotchin & T.Boak. 2. Id have him in the Top 10 so far this year.
