It just amazes me how when the ball's in dispute, it always just bobbles around into the arms of a doggie player. Then they hack it forward & falls into the arms of another player. They can do no wrong. Oh and I used to like the doggies. But the supporters are some of the most arrogant I've ever seen & extremely one-eyed. I really hope we don't let them run away with this.

never thought I'd actually be looking forward to going to see a VFL game. Next Sat night at Casey vs box hill should be a ripper. Gotta love this depth.. & that they're performing so well is super exciting.

If we knew what was good for us.. We'd play Frost back on Cloke & Pedo forward. I just do not like Frost playing forward. Experiment over. He just doesn't offer enough.

yeah Weeds is moving well. Presenting really well & taken 2 strong marks out in front on the lead. Should have 2 on the board. Lumumba has racked em up & setting up some nice plays forward. Brayshaw in everything. Stretch & Neal bullpen playing well. O Mac has been impressive too. Will keep you guys posted at half time.

Honestly, I don't know the guy's name. He was close to the boundary at one stage while the players were having a break. I said hi & he came over.. I asked specifically about Trenners & then about how I saw him taking snaps. Then asked the question about his left foot. But yeah, it might've been a standard "yeah, he's in a great head space" response. He was positive about him. Anyway.. something to look out closely for next week sessions I think !

No sign of Chris Dawes at all today.

Spoke to one of the coaches.. confirmed that he's kicking with both feet & in a really good head space.

When Matt Jones disposes of the footy it's an unfortunate reminder that it is & there are still a few loose ends.

Blue vs White, mini match simulation until a score is registered. Then play is reset at different parts of the ground. Players are clearly tiring a bit.. resulting in a few missed hand passes & kicks. But follow up work has been good & still very vocal. Standouts for me have been Dean Kent, with his clean ball work in close, quick sidestep & immediate accelerate away from the pack.. a thing of beauty. Sam Frost took a brilliant contested mark. Looking the goods. Iv seen Ben Kennedy doing some impressive things in close. And just witnessed a graceful sidestep from jets & a lace out pass to a leading forward.

I'm pretty sure he was using both.

I had a chat with Shannon Byrnes. He reckons petracca a chance for round 1. but won't be pushed. He has just been doing stationary ball work so far today. Looks very eager to get out there. Also asked if he received a call from Essendon.. He was surprised he didn't. Trenners now roving a tap, and taking snap shots for goal. He's got a grin from ear to ear. I can't help but having one as well. Very exciting.

Full ground drills now. 2 sets of Attackers vs Defenders .. One thing I'm noticing a lot are the low trajectory passing. Powerful, flat & accurate. Exciting to watch. The occasional mis-kick. But the ball is being transferred much quicker. So less hospital hand passes & kicks to hopefully keep guys like Pedo out of hospital.

Boys started with some slick ball movements, running it from full back into the centre. Being checked closely by defenders, the message was to keep looking for your nearest man as support. Move it fast & clean. Quite impressed here. Standouts for me was Bernie, Salem, Brayshaw. Very few mistakes. Spence a bit clumsy. as expected.

Nice sunny day for training. Blowing a bit of a gust. But there's a nice little turnout & boys are upbeat ! will post some updates as the sesh progresses. (gf taking some photos again). will post those later as well. cheers.

Girlfriend got down there for her first training session after I successfully convinced her over the xmas break to change from the Saints to the Dees. She's still learning all the players, but she took some great snaps! I will upload them at some stage this afternoon!
