  1. The hopeful plan is to have him work alongside Roos next year and take over the top job in 2016 and beyond. Roos to fulfill his 2 year contract and move on.
  2. Im just reporting what i've been told.. you can choose to believe it or not. But my source has not been wrong about anything to date.
  3. Melbourne has contacted Bomber Thompson for the top job post Paul Roos. And they are very bullish at the chances of acquiring him if James Hird resumes coaching at the Bombers next year. My source has an impeccable record on information thus far. Make of it what you will.
  4. Just heard on SEN.. That the figures coming out for Frawley is around the 800k - 900k mark.. Can't see him staying.
  5. All pre-season, was feeling very settled and confident.. Starting this week, my nerves have just cranked up about 5 gears. I can't even focus at work. The reality, is that we are melbourne and we're accustomed to disappointment. But as Demon disciple said above, that nervousness feeling has been absent for the last few years. It's been too long since I felt like this. Gotta embrace it & get pumped up! Go Dees!
  6. Breaking News on SEN (denied by bombers) .. Apparently James Hird sacked by the Bombers this morning.
  7. Just an idea.. But what if Lynden Dunn goes forward? He's a strong mark and a booming accurate kick. Our biggest concern in the forward line is obviously Roo, who will be covered by T.Mac & then Beau will be mauled by Chip. We could rely on Strauss to be our kick in, and switch play set up kick, as he is also a booming kick. Yes/no/maybe?
  8. I got one out of the 4 certainties this week wrong.. Amazing value on sportsbet this week for absolute sure things.. Freo over 15.5 pts @ 2.15 ; Gold Coast WIN @ 2.75 & Port over 15.5 pts @ 3.15 .. Easy money!
  9. Congratulations to Michelle Cowan given the gig again to coach the Melbourne Demons female team! Hopefully they get a lot of support this year, great crop of players! http://www.melbournefc.com.au/news/2014-03-14/cowan-excited-to-coach-demons-again
  10. The game is played and won in the midfield.. And our full strength midfield should dominate their injury riddled midfield. Im sure we'd all feel a little more at ease of Hoges was playing.. But keep in mind, he did not play against richmond and only kicked the 1 goal against cats.. And I actually think our ball movement against richmond was better. I noticed i think it was Cross post match said that "the players didn't have that bail out kick to a tall target, so they lowered their eyes to hit up shorter targets" .. I think If we play like that, obviously in etihad's dry conditions, we should pick apart saints' inexperienced midfield. Dees by 31pts
  11. I really like the look of Georgiou. Weirdly enough (considering his kicking action) I actually feel relaxed when he has the ball in hand. Definitely a good Garland replacement for round 1. He's a fierce competitor so far has rarely been beaten in one-on-ones. Come round one. Hogan will be fit and firing. I think he'll line up. And after watching St.Kilda's game against the Dogs.. If that's their game plan.. vs. our game plan (against richmond) .. we should win by at least 5 or 6 goals. Plus st.kilda will be without Montagna (suspended) and Gilbert (injury).
  12. Did anyone see the Roosy interview preview last night at half time on Fox footy? Nice slow motion view of Roosy with the 'hallelujah' song playing in the background. I couldn't wipe the smile off my face for about an hour. So pumped to see his first game as coach tonight. GO DEES.
  13. While i'm not expecting a win tonight.. Im hoping for a really good showing with plenty of positives & no injuries.. What's a realistic final scoreline expectation tonight? Im gonna go Rich: 110 & Melb: 85 Im just so damn excited though!
  14. Anyone recall the 2012 NAB cup series... We won 2 out of 3 games. Beating Brisbane in the Round robin & losing to the suns. Then following up with a win over Collingwood by 9 points the week after.. Remember the result of our first home and away game.. Loss to Brisbane by 41 points. I don't think pre-season wins generate a world of confidence.
  15. Great reports guys! Was Viv Michie there at all? I can't remember him being mentioned for the last couple of training reports :/ I have high hopes for this guy
  16. Thanks for the teaser. Hanging out for the detailed ones on a slow work day.
  17. I hear Clark helps foot the bills for some of Hogan's expenses in Melbourne.
  18. Yep I tuned in this morning to hear what Watters had to say.. And basically only a few hours later.. this.. I am absolutely bewildered! I literally fell off my chair when I heard this...
  19. Why don't we try getting someone a little more realistic.. Bryce Gibbs.. Out of contract free agent.
  20. 1. Sydney 2. Fremantle 3. Hawthorn 4. North Melbourne 5. Geelong 6. Collingwood 7. Essendon 8. Carlton 9. Richmond 10. Gold Coast 11. Adelaide 12. Melbourne 13. West Coast 14. Port Adelaide 15. Bulldogs 16. Brisbane 17. GWS 18. St. Kilda
