    No from me...

I think that's true and I often wonder why we didn't get his preferred option as successor.

Like them or not we have a real problem with the football media. Is what they are saying correct? Who would know. Maybe some is, maybe some isn't. We do have a credibility problem with them though and it also seems that there are lose lips around the club. We are losing the PR battle and that's a head office issue. Communication. There have been a few legal issues also at play but we're not going to get into those. It wouldn't hurt to have a complete review from top down. If everyone is at the top of their game what's to lose? ...and if they aren't, then what's to lose? We sort it out and get better.

You really think it's only the FD that needs to be reviewed? The media are having pot shots at us...if Peter Jackson was still CEO would it be open season on Melbourne? I think not. The problems are much greater than just the FD.
  5. Seems like flavour of the month at the moment but don't know much about him apart from missing the Richmond job. Mahoney worth a look. PJ wanted him to take the job and I reckon he's (PJ) about the best administrator the club has had and would know. Wright worth sounding out...
  6. That's a good call, but can he switch to GWS?
  7. ...but will he do the Trent Croad? That's the question.
  8. Not very good
  9. ...and why wouldn't they be interested. Mad if they're not. We're probably interested in Butters.

Not sure about that...he's highly valued around football circles.

Have you seen the movie (Grand Theft Parsons) 'Demonstone'? I see there is a full version up on Youtube. Must watch it again....

    One of the great stories...

By the metrics on this thread he must be a failure...his team currently in 11th. Not likely to make the 8 after a premiership year. What's wrong with McRae and his FD?

Reckon he does have a say (one of a few) but who has the final say? It would be interesting to know.

This is interesting. Hannebery said last Sunday that the Swans were loading. He said just adding a little bit to the training is enough to flatten you on match day. Someone else, can't remember if it was Hodge or Sanderson said clubs don't do loading anymore as the season is now too long and physically hard. They get their loading match days. So, who knows. ...but I wouldn't think it's an excuse for a loss like last nights unless they are flogging to absolute s... out of them on the track. edit: and I don't think loading is very sexy for the experts as it takes away a lot of their analysis. Think of all the fun they will be having over the Swans this week. They've been worked out, there turnover game is in disarray, Is Longmire the right guy?

    Mid season draft maybe...
  17. rjay replied to BoBo's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
If he can come back in a Trent Croad situation and win us another flag then yes, I definitely want him back.
  18. rjay replied to BoBo's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
Wouldn't by me. I reckon he let us down badly and maybe cost us another flag going home... I hope they never win one in his time there. He can come back if he want's another flag.

Sydney have been the best team this year. Having a down patch but just in time to ramp it up for the finals. ...but as is always the case, the team with the fittest list at the end will win.

He will be up there I would think...not sure if he could win it but he's been consistent.

I was at Waverley for that one...the 1988 GF is another. Many other disappointing games through the late 60's, 70's & 80's.
  22. He's no front runner 'picket', unfortunately he's a great young player. Unfortunately because he plays for them not us...
  23. Fair chance we could finish 13/14...although they say it's an even draft this year. The myths of the draft.. This is a super draft He is a generational talent This is an even/deep draft
  24. I've believed for most of this season that we need to reset the list. The talk of making finals this year, it's not happening. Any chance went out the window with Trac's injury & probably earlier with Gus' s retirement. Reset with a decent draft hand, good trade period & go again in 2025.

Not sure about Carlton but the Swans have been loading and most probably in a loading phase now. Hannebery talked about it earlier today on SEN. For those that have doubted the efficacy of loading and the effect it has in season then maybe worth listen. For those with a closed mind, then don't bother.
