It's more than that 'norm', with Harris (struggling to get involved) & Mackin (carrying injuries) they are our power players. That left us with Fitzy, Heath & Lize to carry the heavy load. I'm not sure I explained myself properly. ...and I'm not thinking you were but some seem to think using say pick 8 on a player the phantoms have as say pick 20 or whatever is a stretch. When I would think the professionals should know all the players in the draft and have their own rankings. If we think he's worth 8 then take him at that. You don't miss a good player because he didn't rank that high in the phantoms. Jackson was a prime point, even a lot of the pros thought we over reached there...but I think the proof was in the premiership with that one. Holmes at 20 was probably the pick of that draft or close to it. We would have no problem using pick 7 or 8 on him now.

I think it's quite funny how people here are concerned we might pay overs for someone we know little about based on "draft experts" opinions. I will trust our recruiting team ahead of these lot any day of the week. ...and another thing; Just thinking as I typed above - who was the female reporter that had a good rep on the draft a few years back and what ever happened to her???

If we're looking into a tall from my very limited viewing & knowledge I would hope it is Ludowyke....not so sure about Schubert.
