2026 Pass Mark
Jeff White mentioned this in his game plan evaluation. Seemed to think we would cover it plus with the new game plan...but didn't from memory name names. Maybe the plan itself opens up involvement but a player/players are going to have to step up. It's an interesting watch.

Music Recommendation thread for off-season Boredom
Actually I think Bob does have a connection. Pretty sure he was in a band with KB called the Honeymoon. The Skyhooks connection is James Gillard, the bass player...originally from WA in a band called Western Flyer then in Mondo Rock. Apparently James filled in for Greg Macainsh when he had suffered some injury (I think wrist or hand).

A trivia question '@hardtack '...do you know which member of the Flood played with Skyhooks?

I like clever pop music, harmonically rich and interesting arrangements ...as well as lots of other stuff.

New board appointments have ben made in house or strongly endorsed if going to the vote. The board has effectively been an "echo chamber". So the current board do take on the legacy of bad decisions or indecision made.

- 2026 Australian Cricket Team Selectors vs 2025 MFC Team Selectors
Must be doing something right...we win the Ashes series 4 -1 and consistently play off in the test cricket World Cup. Lets hope our footy club can have similar success. I don't necessarily agree with all the selections but at the end of the day I'm just another fan with an opinion.- Music Recommendation thread for off-season Boredom
What did you think when watching them at that first show 'Tarax'?- Music Recommendation thread for off-season Boredom
Counting the Beat was probably Phil's only chart success since. He certainly has had his struggles.- Music Recommendation thread for off-season Boredom
Yes he was in both vids and co wrote or wrote a lot of the material. Big change when he left and Neil came in...that was the kicker for chart success. Even at a young age Neil could write a hit.- 2026 Australian Cricket Team Selectors vs 2025 MFC Team Selectors
He was there when things seemed to be going off the rails, so he didn't inherit it. He has taken steps to get things on track but it's a bit early to tell if it's a decent job or not. I hope it is...- Music Recommendation thread for off-season Boredom
Not sure I'd call it prog but then again I'm not a labels kinda music person. Always a big Mike Rudd fan.- 2026 Australian Cricket Team Selectors vs 2025 MFC Team Selectors
Why the exception of Brad Green? He's the common denominator that's overseen the current situation.- The New Home Base & Training Ground Thread
Why is the MFC facility locked into Mt Scopus? Doesn't make sense.- The New Home Base & Training Ground Thread
I don't know who would talk up their capabilities. Nothing over the last few years has shown that.- Music Recommendation thread for off-season Boredom
It was an amazing thing to see 'bin', every time I hear these songs it takes me back there. The Matthew certainly was bogan central.- Music Recommendation thread for off-season Boredom
I suppose this is going back in time...and maybe I'm getting old but I don't really care. Can you imagine being at the Mathew Flinders Hotel in 1975, one of the great pub rock venues. Then these guys show up...I loved them then and still do. The look on the faces of the su...more p..s bogan brigade was priceless. They thought they (Enz) were a Bunch of po...ters. The clothes, the hair, the makeup, the dance, the music (kind of prog at this stage). It's probably the first time I had seen a Mellotron in Australia...to think a few years later some good Aussie lads would invent the Fairlight and that changed the face of music in the 80's. It was such a revelation and it still amazes me to think of it every time I here these songs. Split Enz pre Neil https://youtu.be/t_WmsRKoeRw?si=yQ4QC0hXltTftHCX- Happy New Year
May 2026 be a good one for all...if nothing else it's going to be an interesting watch for us Demon supporters. Lets hope the season brings hope for a great future ahead. ...and in more substantial things that it brings peace, health and happiness to you all. Cheers, Rjay...- Aidan Johnson
I think 'bing' is probably right...his papers were stamped. ...and you might be right on the final say, King did after all meet with Clarry. It appears the meeting didn't go well and the rest is history. I wonder what would have happened if the meeting was really positive. Would the result have been different? We will never know, but it does seem like senior people at the club were pushing for the move. This didn't come from King alone.- Music Recommendation thread for off-season Boredom
I wasn't trying to be smart before 'bin'. I didn't know you could listen to Spotify for free, I thought it was a paid model like Apple Music which I do have. "In any case, I didn't create a playlist for rjay alone. So not sure why it's an issue rjay doesn't have a Spotify account, or why it was nessesary to make that point." I was actually interested in listening and not saying you had to create a playlist for me or anything like that. My point was it's a pity I can't hear it.- Music Recommendation thread for off-season Boredom
