- My 3 word player analysis V StKilda
He's an absolute ripper 'Norm', will kick one then the monkey will be off his back. I think Lindsay is the better player, I'm more concerned with Langford on a wing & in general. fumbles too much below his knees and gets caught out in 2 way running, would rather Windsor or Langdon back on one wing. Lindsay is good on the other...- Time to go Goody?
Agree, it was frustrating in the early games. I wonder what changed? Just thinking aloud, it could of been the culmination of a few things. Maybe Goodwin gave them an old fashioned rocket. I doubt he would have given an old fashioned bake but he would have made his thoughts known. The game clicking into place...concentration on the specifics of the plan previously meant not enough on basics like pressure. Getting some flow into the game. Fitness & form...The Clarry move whilst pilloried by many in the media seems to have been a master stroke for one. A bit of a rocket in dropping Fritsch & JVR putting players on notice. It's never just one thing.- Time to go Goody?
Application of learning & skill development takes time to show up. All others have been saying is that it's something we've been working on for a while. From round 6 we've started to see the results of that work break through. The great jazz saxophonist Michael Brecker talked about the frustration of practicing a new skill but not seeing the results on the bandstand. Then 6 months later it would start to show through. It was as though it came from out of nowhere. The significant shift might have shown up from round 6 but it was the culmination of a lot of hard work started way before then. Surely that makes sense.- Callum Mills
I've got mixed feelings about the outcome based suspensions. On the one hand if you are serious about looking after the player with the ball (avoiding concussion) then it would seem to me that incident based would be a better system. On the other hand, and I will defer to the lawyers here...it appears the current system of outcome based suspensions follows our legal system. If you are convicted of attempted murder do you get the same sentence as for murder?- CASEY: Rd 09 vs Northern Bullants
I'm not sure anyone was particularly impressed. I haven't noticed anyone going over the top in regards to the performance.- CASEY: Rd 09 vs Northern Bullants
From what I noticed today with JVR...2 things he hasn't been doing at AFL level. He took one grab marks and he led up at the ball. That's all we need to see at the moment no matter the opposition. A big forward step for mine.- NON-MFC: Round 11
If the AFL are serious then Kornes needs to be banned from being on the ground. Not sure for how long but it needs to happen. He just can't do this kind of thing & get away with it.- The Toby Sinnema Thread
- Luke Jackson back to Victoria?
I don't have a clue how this will play out. ....but I'm loving that Maxy and Goody are muddying the waters so to speak. I'm also loving that Freo are really sooking it up. It was ok for them to target Kozzy... Well fellas what's good for the goose...- NON-MFC: Round 10
It's a good question...- NON-MFC: Round 10
It's mainly the one with the headband. Think he must have grown up a C/Wood supporter. shocking. ...and watching on Fox Howey is barracking for C/Wood. I've just turned off.- Welcome to Demonland: Jacob Van Rooyen
Part of that could be on him. I remember an interview where he said he wasn't a leading type of player. It rang alarm bells for me then & it's become an issue now.- Welcome to Demonland: Jacob Van Rooyen
.- Welcome to Demonland Kynan Brown
- The Stats don’t lie…
Stats may not lie but interpretations of them invariably do...- Media Madness
I don't know why you would bother watching them 'norm'... If I see McGuires on my screen I quickly turn it off.- CLARRY IS NOT A TAGGER
...but he hasn't been doing it. We need to get him back to that, we would all love to see that.- CLARRY IS NOT A TAGGER
The media have the memory of a fish 'dazz', they react on what is in front of them at the time and don't think past it. The club have to look at the longer game. Lets see how this pans out over the season. It just might be a master stroke.- CLARRY IS NOT A TAGGER
I suspect this is as much about Clarry as it is about the tagging role. He's been struggling on & off field. Playing as a tagger takes away the pressures of being a prime mover, your job is simplified. I'm happy for him to do this if it can help us get back the old Clarry. Think the longer term game here.- Crowd at The Hawthorne Game
'Adam', I always say that I know the 10 Hawthorn supporters personally and a couple of them have since passed on. The rest are all fair-weather, band wagoners...- Crowd at The Hawthorne Game
The bandwagoners...- My 3 word player analysis V Hawthorn
Windsor - limited preseason base He'll be ok but was gassed at the end and at his age missing key parts of preseason is going to do that to you. - My 3 word player analysis V StKilda
