Nah, that was a great win in a high pressure game.

Dawn of a new Era - Paul Guerra article 18.10.2025
The old saying is that talk is cheap. One of his predecessors PJ, didn't talk a lot...just did. You're correct...on field success is where his time will be measured.

We're certainly getting a lot of words. I don't know if that translates to transparency. I will wait and see the actions...and the results of those actions.

Grading the Trade Week
I think we will have a better idea in around 5 years time. These assessments are really discussion (argument) starters and bare no resemblance to reality.

Bailey Humphrey
If people think anyone is going to trade out of next years draft for a pick this year they are also kidding themselves.

Bailey Humphrey
People who think 7 & 8 in this draft is a fair deal are kidding themselves...

It is a terrible result Dimma ...for a 29yo proven finals player (Norm Smith Medal)

2025 AFL National Draft prospects: The next batch
Unlikely that anyone will swap... edit: and it appears that each time we've tried this we've missed the particular player we wanted. Humphrey, Watson, Holmes... So I wouldn't be banking on this strategy.

Assistant Coaches in 2026
...because it's much easier getting a good media pay packet and firing shots from the sidelines without any recriminations.

Assistant Coaches in 2026
One day you are going to surprise and say something positive without adding any negatives. by the way...I'm pretty sure the Port fan base aren't the greatest judges of coaching talent.

2026 Rule Changes
I'm sorry to see it go. It's part of the uniqueness of our game which has been diluted further by this move. I would have changed the rule so they did not have to bring back a bad bounce. Also would have brought back the bounce around the ground. If they want fair then change to a round ball. ...and as for the sub, I would have eliminated it and not added another interchange player. 4 on the bench is enough. Cut the rotations to a small number a Q...and you won't need to be worried about disadvantage with injury.

Farewell Judd McVee
History can be insightful. Howe was playing forward until injury (to defenders) forced him back which is where he has remained for his career apart from a few cameo's forward. Turns out he's good at it. Nothing is a given.

Farewell Judd McVee
The same thing happened with Jeremy Howe, wanted to play forward. Buckley and Collingwood sold him on being that forward at Collingwood and guess where he's played ever since they figured he wasn't the forward they needed. He's been a back man for them and Roos was right all along. No guarantee the same thing won't happen to McVee at Freo...Cameron kicks 5 and who is Longmuir going to move onto him.. just a tip, it's not going to be Clark.

2025 Grand Final
Really miss Dennis, not so much Bruce, but as a pair they were streets ahead (states/countries really).

Farewell Judd McVee
Sad as it is...I'm more disappointed by the deception. ...but you are right, we're better off without them.
