Jetta is too slow for Nahas, Nicholson will pick him up as usual.

Half Time address from Peter Jackson Yesterday

No he wasn't, Robson has been the CEO since 2009. Hird and Thompson came on board at the end of the 2010 season. -
If Barrett or anyone for that matter really believed that Neeld would say anything else and that he believed it then they would be delusional.
-
Wasn't he trying to get a trade out the year Bailey was sacked at the end of the season. He hadn't even played a game under Neeld when he wanted out, Neeld may not have even been coach, not sure of the time line. It seems he may have had problems with others at the club before Neeld arrived and him wanting to go may have had something to do with Bailey being sacked and/or the way the club handled his indiscretion.

Colin Garland VC should take Riewoldt this week

Frawley will play on their number one forward, Reiwoldt -
As 'Bay' says, not a good enough kick, he's also not a strong enough body player to match it with the big boys.

Interesting comment made by Lenny Hayes the other night when asked about leaving the club to chase ultimate success he said something along the lines of football being greater than money or even premierships. He felt you owed a lot to the club, the volunteers and supporters the people that had come and followed you week in week out.
-
He might well be looking for a job soon and looking to resurrect his own image.
-
No, key defenders are worth their weight in gold. I know we need mids but you don't trade a top level key position player and his is still a top level defender no matter how many try to slag him off on here.

Hiding the bag.

No, Walls came up with the huddle in the early 80's when coaching Fitzroy. ...and on the game plan thing, there is much more to it than the name game...Clarko's cluster etc..as Chris Scott will say their game plan will change a number of times throughout a season. There is no game plan of one of the good sides and the good sides younger players are expected to cope with numerous changes throughout the season or they don't play. You're right that a good coach does create and adapt. It's a pity Lyon didn't understand this when he wrote off a whole bunch of coaches because they were from Geelong or were Rocket Eade.

'Stuie', just admit you were wrong with Schwab and be done with it. ...by the way you know the players at Essendon called Jackson 'Monty'.

When you are the CEO then yes you are that one man, it happened on his watch. If that's not concrete evidence enough then you are not paying attention.

Half Time address from Peter Jackson Yesterday

I have concerns that they haven't done what's best for the club and have looked after individuals to the detriment of the club. They have never spoken about what happened after the Geelong debacle and stomped all over any thought of questions at the AGM same again this year with tanking. -
Amazing post, the guy has screwed the club twice. I don't know if he was shonky or not, what I do know is that he wasn't very good at his job. Look at the state of the club if you want evidence, the clubs business is football and we are not a very good football side if you haven't noticed. In fact we are in total disarray.

I would like to know more about that, sounds interesting. I've been in favour of AFL intervention for over a year (because it was obvious to me that we being mismanaged) and I think in effect that is what we have now. For those concerned with us being shipped off or shut down we have a period of time to get things back on track that's in line with the current broadcasting rights. If we can't get ourselves on track by then well we deserve to be shipped off or shut down. Not a story I ever believed, unfortunately our board and a lot of members were sucked into that one. -
Obviously Freo wouldn't.
-
I think the board was more interested in protecting some than doing what was right for the club, hence the 500k fine. I don't trust that we will ever know the truth of that.
-
Add the golden boy and his assistant to the mix, not all is as it seems in AFL land.
-
No way.

I was thinking that Barlow would be the offer but whilst he is a good player he is not worth a key forward, and even with another player packaged would still be a no go. I know that Fyfe would be a no go but that's what we we need to get the deal done, no deal.
-
Yep, that's the one. I couldn't think of anyone at Freo that would fit the bill but they are going to be desperate to replace Pav and they say they are out of the Buddy game. Not convinced about that one though.

Some fans may have given up hope, but players haven't

He looks like he would be a good choice for FD boss or CEO in waiting, what we need him to be is a gun forward. That's what he is being paid well for. -
Personally I think we paid overs for Dawes, not just financially but with pick 20.
-
Now that's over selling it a bit. He was a good outside running mid as a junior, got a lot of ball and probably what you would call a receiver. Absolute freak no, top 10 pick, probably and we got him at 4. You don't have to pump him up now, he doesn't play for us anymore and the guy who recruited him is gone. If you had a time machine and put Harry Taylor in a club without Mathew Scarlett and Corey Enright around him it would be interesting to see how he turned out. As it is he is the best CHB in the biz and is only getting better with the little swing he takes up forward.
